Apologies for not starting a City thread tonight, couldn't go and don't feel qualified to comment on the match, but Steve Mclaren tonight in a direct copy from the BBC website 'Steve McClaren went into meltdown with his side 4-0 down at half-time against Burnley. He sat in the dug-out on his own at the interval and ordered his players to stay out on the pitch until the start of the second half. McClaren said "At the end of the day, players cross the white line and they have to be responsible for performance, so yeah we sent them out early at half time." Forest lost 5-1 in the end. On his future, McClaren added: "it's for other people to decide about my job." That deserves a brolly graphic, surely?' Bloody hell, I cant remember a manager going into meltdown like this for a long time, will he still be there next week?
Did you not see him on Saturday vs Watford? He sat in a part of Vicarage Rd that is not open for fans (maybe building work) and sat on some stool with his notepad and not in the dug out!
Poor guy has lost it, no I didn't see that. The strain has got to him. He's a good coach, I think he needs to get back to that instead of managing.
Just goes to show, be careful what you wish for....how many people were calling for Mclaren when we were looking for a manager! Probably the same losers who are now moaning about NP, let's be happy with the route we took.
That's probably because he couldn't see the pitch because of the Sun, so he was moving somewhere where he could get a proper view of the action. However, he is a twat and he probably is having a breakdown of some kind.
I think Steve Claridge said that it was quite a good thing and couldn't understand why more managers didn't go higher up in the stadium to get a better view of whats going on. Most the Rugby coaches do it.
His team were 4-0 down at half time away from home to a team that do score a lot of goals, and responded by forcing his players to have the team talk on the pitch at half time? What a copycat!
He's following in Brownies footsteps as the comedy king of football, thats for sure. Team-talks on the pitch, we all know how that ends up!
brownie did exactly the same at watford too, to get a better view..hes copying him completely, watch out for the pink jumper across the shoulders any day now..
I was waiting for him to do the Herr Flick accent at Wolfsburg but they booted him out before he had time to perfect it!
McClaren hasn't talked to the press yet after Forest's latest 3-1 reversal to Birmingham. Apparently he's in talks with the board. I hope he hangs on just long enough for us to beat them at the City Gound.
