Can’t see it being today. There would be more of a whiff in the air on Twitter. Fully expect it to drag on until the season is completed. On this basis no news is good news. The fact that it has gone very quiet worries me slightly.
The Saudis are starting to become bullish. Very bullish. When that happens there is only ever one outcome.
Regarding the piracy etc. That’s just them reiterating their stance on it. I don’t think it’s a dig at the PL to make the takeover happen. For all we know the delay could be because of other things being negotiated. Different spin on it. Keys has said 100’s of his mates have lost their jobs at bein because of SA and piracy. Bein have also lost serie a rights? Why? They also said that if the PL don’t block the deal they won’t pay the remaining rights! Are they possibly in financial trouble and NEEDED the WTO report to rule against SA? So I am thinking that the deal for NUfC is in process but maybe the PL are negotiating stripping Bein of the broadcasting rights and selling them to SA for a higher price? It solves the financial black hole for the PL. So my take on the press release by SA is to give confidence to the PL about something else!
