On the one hand Winks was the right sub to make at that time as holding onto the ball was more important at that time On the other hand, any point in the previous 15-20 was ideal to bring him in as we were starting to lag worse than Crunchyroll on a Saturday
The only one who worries me is Son, just looks out of form, not unfit. Kane has barely played for over half a year so you can understand him being rusty. But Sonny concerns me a little.
Yeah it could have worked. But then again I didn’t want to suggest it, because on previous evidence you get more out of GLC at 30% than Tanguy at 60% in his first match back after lockdown.
Pochettino vs Mourinho Pochettino’s record Possession: 59% Shots per game: 15.7 Mourinho’s record Possession: 49% Shots per game: 11.8 Don't get me wrong people, I rate Mourinho highly, but think his play 'not to loose' tactics can be a little drab in matches like this one.
HIs level of fitness over the last year and a half was way below what's needed to play central midfield. He shouldn't have been picked to play there. Putting him further back lessens the the need for stamina and pace and he can live on his reading of the game, strength and footballing skills...... Plus West Ham aren't any good.
They definitely are. With him the result is all that matters, the flair and style will never be there. Levy obviously would rather see a more pragmatic Spurs side win a trophy than a easy on the eye team not
Tbh at this point of the season results are everything...I would have been very happy to get 4 points fron these 2 games last week so I think its been positive. I would prefer better football but on another day Son's toe may have been onside and Kane may have finished his previous chance and we'd be talking about a 4 or 5-1 win. If we cant get a CL place a EL place and a good end of season is vital as it'll pretty much run into the start of next season!
‘Pretty’ football like Sheff United and Wolves? both have scored less than us Theres more than one way to play the game Plus I can see exactly what Jose is trying to do...it’s up to the players to find their potential
We are now playing like a Mourinho team, not the most exciting football;l in the world and not in the Spurs tradition but at-least we get to learn how to defend and maybe even how to keep the ball and see out a narrow victory. Then our next manager can bring back the football.
Agree, he’s talented but seems more hassle than he’s worth, hopefully they can sell him and use the money on a decent replacement who isn’t overweight and lazy
