Better as the half went on - unlucky with the goal but it was in keeping with previous VAR decisions which we have had both for and against, if we keep playing like this we can win.
0-0 HT. Lots of possession and we started pushing it towards the end, but they've largely defended it well. Not the most entertaining match so far, for me. I'm really not feeling this crowdless stuff, to be honest.
Turd first half but should’ve been 1-0 up at the death, fuming with Lucas there. Just pelt the ****ing thing.
Difficult half to assess. First 15/20 mins we looked more rusty than the United game but the likes of Gio have grown into the half and started to pull the strings. Son is gradually improving but still not where he needs to be. Kane looks worryingly off the pace. Good options on the bench though, Lamela might bring intensity, Bergwijn has to be worth a try and Tanguy? Well who knows.
Have we been deploying Harry as a false nine in the last couple of games, or is he having to play as one as the ball isn't getting forward consistently?
How did they decide when to draw the offside line? You literally can't see the ball on the replay. It's probably the right decision, but it's a very close call.
Serious suggestion, turn the sound off completely including the commentary. I have been doing it since the Germans kicked off and it makes the game look more like the real thing for me. Give it 5 mins just to see.
I tried that with the German football too, but I think it's the football itself. The games seem to lack intensity and drive, though I'm not sure how much of that is real and how much is in my head. A lot of them seem like friendlies and I think that the extra subs and drinks breaks play into that.
That was never offside, joke of a decision Modern football with VAR being used wrong and the money men forcing teams to play during a pandemic isn’t for me
