I tend to make frittata rather than omelette, you need at least four eggs in a small frying pan, ensure the bottom of the pan has been lightly brushed with oil, so the egg does not stick to the pan, when cooked. Whip the eggs up pretty well in the pan, before cooking, add in slices of tomato or whatever you fancy. Heat the bottom on the hob, heat the top half under the grill, visa versa until cooked thru. If you oiled the pan right, the egg should just lift away, and you have yourself egg pizza :)

Edit: if you want to add meat such as sausage or bacon you can, just ensure they are cooked thru before adding to the egg.

Looks nice that. Although generally I only make a frittata if I'm trying to use up eggs. I've used cold potatoes in it before, bacon, basically all the stuff you see in your pic. I know you can cook them in the oven to, but never tried that.

    Well.

I sometimes put a splash of milk in scrambled egg but prefer it without. I don’t even whisk the egg prior to going into the pan. Whisk in the pan with butter. Medium low heat. They go creamy.

Though scrambled and omelettes do not have the same texture at all.

For me it’s not an omelette until the egg mixture has additional ingredients in it

just adding salt n pepper doesn’t make it an omelette...just an egg waiting to be scrambled

    Knobs of butter are essential

You are talking about a filled omelette, completely different to a country or traditional omelette.

Yeah but not filled like that pic Skiddy put up of a fat slice of Pizza looking thing. When it’s like that’s it’s stopped being an egg and become a quiche

    My omelettes always have cheese.

Its just not an omelette without melted cheese on top for me.

yeah, that was more like a frittata/Spanish omelette
So an omelette is just a fried egg, mixed up then? Dunno why when making it I wish the eggs and also stir it in the pan!
