Bruce is doing what Bruce normally does. Has a good/competent season or two, then things go tits up. Get rid NOW!!!! In the back of his mind he'd be hoping for a mass pay off as a result of the takeover. His opinion poll at an all time high, receiving a massive slap on the back, he'll get a wodge of cash, and he'll walk into the next lower Premier/upper Championship type job. Town get a decent manager in. Everybodies happy!
Yas. Assuming take over goes through, we need to aim higher than Bruce. Hes had a season at his dream job, and don't better than expected and his reputation over here has gone up massively. He can leave on a high with a good rep here and we go on to bigger things.

The problem with people like him is his "source" - likely to be something like a SJP groundsman or similar. To add context, Alex Bruce and his "source" know nothing about the takeover. The best we can probably hope for is a few days of silence from someone like Caulkin. His 'sources' are on the buyers side - quite probably AS herself. When they go quiet - rather than constant updates of "they're optimistic" - then it's likely to mean something larger is happening. You can probably add Paul Smith, Duncan Castles, Henry Winter, etc., into that list. The media has gone a bit more quiet - Craig "Stab In The Dark" Hope has said something, but that tends to mean nowt. Notably, not one major publication has put up a "takeover to fail" bit of news for days.

Day 102 in the takeover house. Nothing happened. I’m so bored of this ****. Honestly couldn’t give a toss now.
