Yeah the money might not be the same, which would be typical of our luck IF we got promoted and of course very tight if we stayed down. But if we keep Bielsa I would hope we get 4 or 5 signings that are are of reasonable value but great talent because they want to play for him or are linked with Argentina etc. I certainly think we'd be bought by a new owner, who may be able to support better financially if we were promoted. Not sure if Rads stays either if we dont go up.

Now now Jammy... I was merely providing a little evidence, that speaks for itself without need of suggestion.

I think I stated my view earlier that they’re a useful guide but not perfect . I know it’s a forum so blag and bluster trumps relevant Information but I like to put some stats out every know and then for the hell of it... even if they lack the extensive credible source protocols that LL subjects his material to before release.

Whichever, you think paddy is c10 goals short, so you’re in broad agreement with the stats.

How good a season is being 10 goals short of par for a striker? How many more points would those 10 goals likely be worth to the team? If we were to miss promotion do you think his contribution would warrant scrutiny? Do you really think there is a cat in hells chance he plays in the premier league next season for us or anyone else?

    Just wondering

    valuation a little OTT:emoticon-0105-wink:

If we get promoted and Bamford is our main striker next season then we’re going straight back down. If we remain in the Championship and he’s still our main striker then we’re not going up again.

The lesson learned from last season is we needed another striker. Unfortunate, poor scouting, stubborn coach, I’ve no idea why Augustin or Nketiah never made it for us but I’d be livid if I were Rads blowing that amount on two loan striker signings who’s contribution has been a near complete waste of time.

There's no doubt that Bamford should be criticised for his finishing. It's his job after all, & I get it. But. Does he deserve the amount he gets?

We have a bunch of wingers who are even more inaccurate in finding a man with a cross. They fail more often than Bamford. A lot. Every game. And yet somehow they escape the same magnitude of criticism.

Valuations were spoken of earlier, so what about £15m for Costa? Fair? Makes Bamford bargain of the decade at £7m imo.

Could be worse, we could still have gems like Morison playing up front. <yikes><yikes><yikes>

the whole team should score more, certainly and our crossing is ‘variable’.

LOL. The whole team should indeed score more. That's been a bit of a disappointment this year. :(

Not many from defence this year - especially the CBs, who you'd expect to score a few.

The midfield is particularly disappointing in their scoring stats, but that's what you get when the bulk of them play tippy-tappy on the wings for most of the game. :)

    Totally agree.

However Cooper's equaliser at Brentford was probably the most important goal of the season thus far. We turned a corner after that and won the next 5 on the bounce, which shows it's not always about how many but when and where.

There's always a knee jerk reaction when we lose, but if anyone thinks it's bad on here well go to FB and you'll see some **** awful ****e. I've never really had a go at individual players, but my judgement of Bamford has been clouded by his recent run in with a fan.(which is wrong I know) I'm not even judging him on his footballing prowess. Things I ignored that were said about him being a snob, aloof and generally not bonding with supporters are now bothering me. He may work his socks off but so do all the side and although his goals have contributed to getting us where we are, I still can't help thinking how many misses and fluffed chances have cost us points. Anyway moan over, hopefully he'll get a few next Sat.<ok>

Oh yeah, there's some awful crap on Facebook, I don't know what's wrong with some people, the bile and vitriol is staggering. I hope none of the players read it
