Presumably he's in breach of contract by refusing to play. City should be able to tear up his existing contract and sue his spotty arse. The only problem is that I can't see there being a big queue of clubs lining up to buy him.

They would have if City waited. The clubs in Brazil are getting a massive deal with their TV company and they gave City the option of taking the money from that deal which will be paid later this year. Its not like City are short for money. They would have cut him from their wages and the most important thing is they would have got rid of him.
