Is @Warm Pouch Phil Neville in disguise? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/53131621 Match of the Day 2 pundit Phil Neville believes Newcastle "play better football" under current manager Steve Bruce than his predecessor Rafael Benitez as the the club's potential takeover is discussed.
He best brace himself for a backlash from the Rafa Garglers. They won't be happy about him telling them a few home truths. Anyone with eyes would accept we've been better to watch under Bruce. Its still not good to watch though, and the best for Newcastle would be to get the takeover done, sack Bruce, forget Rafa, and set off in a more positive direction.
I don't think we'll be making any changes until August now. I think managers would have been interested in coming in before the restart, if the takeover had happened. Plus I can see a lot of clubs shipping managers out when the season ends such as Arsenal, Man Utd, Villa, Bournemouth, Norwich, West Ham, Watford. That's just the Premier league.
I'll be pleased when the takeover fails, that means we can keep that nice Mr Bruce. Mr Benitez can go and do one.
I think since we changed I'd say we've played much better football... I still don't want him to have any say in transfers and I doubt top players will choose to cine here if he's the manager.... I do think he deserves a chance though...he really does...
