Mate, you can paint whatever picture you want on it, but I'll be perfectly straight with you. I can't stand Trump, but when I heard what these kids did, I just thought brilliant stunt.....but.....you bunch of fooking idiots. Come back to me mate once he's been dethroned, until then I suggest they avoid any more stunts like this, because it really don't matter what you think or anyone else on this forum come to that, what matters is what Trump supporters do at the polls. I've lost count the number of times, people have reasons he should not stay in power, it didn't work with Boris and it didn't work with Brexit, and I'm seriously doubting after that stunt it's going to work with Trump, after all this is thick shhite Americans we are talking about....only time will tell.

My first thought was if it was down to them then it doesn't achieve anything as all you're doing is displacing supporters nothing more. But when I've read more about it, it appears it's largely down to the lack of ppl wanting to attend. That could mean something or it could mean nothing. Is it an indicator that Trump supporters (not the hardcore but those who were swayed by him) have moved away... or that he still has enough support who now won't be so conspicuous about it but come the day still plan to vote for him. Who knows but the way I see it, if he does get re-elected I'll blame the incompetence of Democrats, in the same way it was largely down to the opposition that Boris got elected.

Thing is with Trump he's away with the fairies and you would think people would know that. I just worry if they give this guy enough ammo, then his supporters are going to suck it up, quicker than Sucky sucking off Matth. Narratives against the opposition don't work these days, simply because people don't like being told what to do or how they should vote. Trump is just going to hold up the placard, that says the media and the opposition have been trying to play dirty games against me, then say look at this arena. He will do a rally cry and tell his voters it's time to vote back. The media won't broadcast his supporters, because the media as a whole do think he's a clown, the only probably with that is the fooker will sneak in the back door, while his opposition and media are being distracted with their own dirty tricks. I always remember saying about Corbyn, every time he held a press conference, I said it time and time again, stop trying to play the opposition, and tell me what you are going to do, but they wanted to play the narratives with tit bits thrown in between, in my view that cost them. Along with being blatantly out of touch.

Has anyone actually listened to Joe Biden?

He's senile, can barely string sentences together, he's always been a mediocre to poor public speaker. I think Trumps gonna make him look like a fool in debates, as he did Hilary.

Like, believing Trump doesnt stand a chance is just foolish.

Keir i think has proven just how woeful Corbyn was the entire time.

This is the thing I missed out saying to Treble. Who the fook is Biden - I know fook all about him, basically because I can't be asked to look, and nothing notable has happened. Reason being, the media want to talk about Trump all the time. If ppl are to vote for Biden, he's got five months left, to give them something to remember him by, before Trump is given another term, and Biden becomes but a mere shadow of the past.

Yeh agree completely. I think sometimes you have to know when to be quiet and let the other guy dig his own hole whilst offering hope and a brighter future through what you believe in. Otherwise you galvanise the other guy. Imo there's an element of this sadly with the BLM movement following Floyd's murder. The statues ****e for example is in danger of becoming another stunt which will only push people away. And those who want it pushed away will use it to say "see these lunatics want to destroy our heritage and hate us all" much like Trump will do with any stunt that seems like an attack on him. The real issue which was to change society for the better and imo educate the next generation to strive for this, is lost. Same with the election if all you do is attack Trump.

When I spoke about the Democrats earlier I was thinking exactly of the fact they couldn't find anyone better than Biden. If he's the best they can come up with then their only hope is that there are enough people who would rather have him than Trump. That is honestly what I think it will come down to. Little or nothing else.

About the tickets, wouldn't they have started doing resales after a while?

If you turn up at Wimbledon, quite often you can get a seat, if there are no shows.

There were that many seats empty, they'd have made a lot of extra money if the demand was there.

That wouldn't even come into it. Reports say rally organisers always approve more tickets than there is space, so pranksters filling out reservations would not have stopped legitimate supporters from attending. It appears they convinced the Trump campaign that more people were interested in going than actually were.

The campaign had boasted of about one million RSVPs but if even half of those reservations had been legitimate the rally would have seen a far greater attendance. But then as BRB says whatever the reality is, it's the perception to his fanbase that may count more. Time will tell.

Well, if I was running some event and the auditorium was as empty as that, I'd be out front, selling tickets for what ever I could get.

The entire Trump machine is based on lies and deception.

What happened on Saturday was the little more than the spin machine back firing spectacularly after its boasts of 1m ticket requests ended up seeing little more than 6,000 hardcore MAGA morons actually attend. Quite what part college kids played in this is a matter of debate. What isn’t up for debate is that in what is supposed to be a stronghold, he couldn’t muster anything like a full arena. Let alone the additional 40k he had boasted would attend in the adjoining conference centre, plus what they assumed would be a huge crowd that’d end up being locked out of both venues, hence the outdoor stage that was going to see Farage leading an outdoor appearance by Trump (Farage having been allowed entry to the US due to a ‘national security’ exemption btw.)

Trump is way behind in the polls, so what his machine will do - is attempt to cheat. They’ve already started, by decrying postal voting rights, there’ll be limited voting stations open in a number of key states, primarily in largely Black American areas where Trump is weak, resulting in huge queues and highly likely to end up seeing plenty denied their Democratic right to vote. They will literally stop at nothing as his administration is totally corrupt.

Whether even with all of the dirty tricks it’ll be enough to see him home, personally given where he is in the polls, I sincerely doubt it. The largely silent majority in the States will turn out and see him gone imo, Biden is almost superfluous at present, I expect he’ll extend his lead once the campaign truly gets going, as he’s not Trump and he isn’t Clinton.

I think I’m right in saying the tickets are free, beyond some hospitality tickets, and all you’re doing is registering. I think entrance is / was on a “first come, first served” basis.

It’s always been rumoured that he fills his venues with paid “actors”, supplementing his hardcore support.
