Sorry my fault a big clap to everton and ancelotti for coming up with the revolutionary, mind blowing blowing & absolutely fantastic tactic of parking the ****ing bus. Who would of thought that a manager could come up with the tactic to stick 10 men behind the ball and then kick the ball up in the air. I apologise profusely for not seeing the brilliance that Mr ancelotti has brought to the fixture. I obviously havnt understood what it takes to organise a team with one instruction. When they've got the ball stand in the way, when we've got the ball kick it long and then stand in their way. Lucky he had three months to come up with it.
Ancelotti makes it sound like a moment of inspiration Ancelotti: "Offensively we tried to build from the back. They pressed really high and it was difficult to find a solution from the back so we decided to play more long ball."
Mate, the moment pickford passed it a yard to the cb from the goal kick and he looked up and smacked it right up the middle of the pitch.
Kinda glad I didn't bother watching this and went out for a walk, sounds drab as. Not really got much enthusiasm for football after everything that's been going on anyway. I'll watch the match we win the league in and then I likely won't bother with any more after that ... true fandom for you there. It's a shame this is how it is for us to win a first Prem title, especially after the season we were having, but it is what it is now
Yeah, and I think that's how Carra saw it too. Keita has a way of getting through that Windy and hendo don't, imo. But hey Ho. I was just looking forward to a guard of honour at the Etihad, tbh - and a points record. probably end a damp squib now. Palace will be no walkover on Wednesday - they looked tasty yesterday.
After all the ****e, I throughly enjoyed the match. It wasn't the game, it was a bit poor, but me and my boy went through our usual ritual, sat in our usual specs. Chatted **** about inconsequential things for two hours. It was a welcome relief from the last 3 months. I'm also enjoying being back on here, talking ****e. Probably why I've argued with twice as many people as I have in 20 minutes as I have in the last 4 years.
yeah, that's a bit more perspective. listen, I don't like to pillory Liverpool players, but if Lovren is still there next season... Anyway, Williams at RB, Trent at LB and JoGo with Virgil if Robbo is not fit on Wednesday. Please God, not Milner up against Zaha again - he was literally trying to pull his kecks off to stop him last time he was up against him!
A blessing if he would have played full back, but a loss in all other positions. The guy is a leader and will be missed.
Sarcasm at its best I think You were being sarcastic weren’t you Tbf I see where you are coming from but I also see why Everton would be happy with that result. It is definitely a way to beat us (said it loads on here) we have to find a way of breaking down teams that do that I am more than a little bit worried about our form atm being honest Was hoping the blip that was beginning for lockdown was going to have disappeared But IF we don’t pick up a win against palace (who are playing very well and have been to city and won) then this massive gap we had is only going to get smaller and even the games which should be won will become tough I do not want this to be dragged out anymore.
I think as well, and I'm honestly not being snide, but there's eight games left - Everton were on 37 points. If they indulged themselves and went toe-to-toe from now until the end of the season... Well I think Norwich, and probably Villa, are down. It's not inconceivable the other four could raise that bar to 40 points again. Big point for Everton, when the odds were that they'd get nothing. They could have even got three, and ensured safety. That has to be Everton's first objective. And we'll play others in that position before the end of the season - if we want to set records and put a gloss on it, we can't expect anyone, let alone our local rivals, to play supporting rolls in our procession. Tedious, but I'll say it again - our great teams of the past expected favours from nobody, let alone Everton at Goodison.
There was talk of Ancelotti when Kenny was sacked. What might have been... Don't get me wrong - I wouldn't replace Klopp with anyone, but we lost five years after H&G imo. Ancelotti would have won us the league with the 2014 team, I believe, no disrespect to Brendan (who played sound football).
I’d say nobody deserved to win. Think both teams just eased their way back into football and probably both happy to just take the point.
