I think the PL have told Saudi that to get this deal passed the KSA need to make a public gesture/statement of intent to make a genuine effort to get on top of piracy. This new info for me ticks that box really well. mot makes it difficult for Qatar to now hold their original position.
Interestingly, the Saudi's have agreed a deal for Serie A TV rights. They have also bought a 5% share on BT's broadcasting arm. They have released a statement of intent and written to the PL. I cannot see how the PL can delay any longer.

It really is. Further to all the encouraging and very interestingly timed 'Saudi clampdown on piracy' news - according to Craig Hope the UK government started leaning heavily on the PL last week to accept. They want closer ties with SA.
