To all those lambasting Bamford... He's no more the reason we lost than Phillips, Cooper, White and any of the others who could have done better to either prevent or score a goal. It's a team game and Bamford is a massive part of the reason we're in the automatic promotions places after 38 games. So please, let's knock the blame game on the head and trust that what's got us into such a strong position will also see the job through.
Evening Lee. There's no doubt we were ring rusty, on Sky they kept saying we were playing well but I was seeing too many poor first touches as well as a lack of tempo and cohesion.
Can i blame lack of quality signings then by cheapo rads. This league is there for the taking and once again we failed to take advantage of others slipping up.
Evening lads - I agree with you here, I couldn't see why Sky thought we looked good, we never really turned up today. We generally looked off our usual pace, and individually like strangers at times. We are one game closer to the prize tonight with no loss in terns of the gap to 3rd, however - the most important thing now is that we don't start to believe our own hype, but I don't think for a moment that Marcelo will allow that to happen. Strap in lads etc.
I’ve been saying the same elsewhere Davy. We rarely beat Cardiff or Harris teams so any result today would have been a bonus. Multitudes on social media expected us to win first four or five games and walk promotion. That’s nonsense and we just know this will probably go down to last couple of games
Don't think Jean-Kev will have come cheap but I totally get where you're coming from. The right signing at that time could/would have made all the difference.
Harris is turning out to be a royal pain in the gonads. I seriously hope that he doesn't get Baardiff promoted too if we do go up.
So true...expectations way too high today considering who/where we were playing. Anyway, I'm not downbeat as we're still in a great position.
Au contraire... That would be one relegation certainty for next season were that unlikely scenario to happen.
On another note, one of my girls presented me with a sniffer 1972 retro jersey for daddy’s day. I’m chuffed
Frustrating thing for me, is having watched probably too much pl footie in recent days, a lot of the clubs/players are over rated. If/when we get there, we can easily be mid table. One word of caution though, we’ve got to do better in transfer market. It’s not been good under Orla, not good at all even when we’ve spent money
What's everyone drinking tonight ? I'm drowning my sorrows with some sparkly stuff from France along with some Parma ham & olives
Tomorrow will take care of itself..it always does and it always will. Unfortunately it will be you that's doing it
..... and yet that same lack of quality has put us in the best position we've been in for 16 years. What if we'd spunked loads of money on quality & were mid-table? Some people are never happy! You should enjoy it - we might never be as competitive again in our lifetimes.
