****ing hell I know I said earlier that it wouldn't be a complete disaster if we lost but it's the same old story again. Why is it that oppo keepers seem to have a blinder against us whereas two shots on our goal resulted in two ****ing goals. I'm trying not to get too despondent about it as thankfully Fulham lost and West Brom drew so the gap is still there but we had better start winning against Fulham. The scary thing was looking at the subs bench we really do look light weight. It's going to be nerve wracking few weeks and this is not the start we had hoped for. Sober in the first half, that didn't work, so a few drink in the second and still things didn't get any better. I'll have to think of a plan B
Obviously a hugely disappointing result. Two individual errors have cost us again and it's incredibly difficult to come back from that. On the plus side we're still 7 points in front of 3rd and now there's only 8 games remaining. Hopefully we've now blown a few cobwebs off but we definitely looked like we would have benefited from a couple of friendlies prior to the resumption.
We didn’t learn a lot from this weekend except the top three teams all performed crap. All about who can regain their form the quickest now. At least it’s one less game to negotiate
Two other pluses is we didn’t pick up any injuries and hopefully pablo will return next week. He’s a vital cog
Thought Roberts was our best player, don't want to drop him, unless we drop Bamford and use Roberts as the striker.
I’ve seen Birmingham, WBA, Brentford, Fulham, Cardiff and Leeds and I’d say we’re miles ahead fitness wise. I’d hoped it would be a factor in us getting off to a flyer, my fear is the others looked like they needed the game more than us.
I think Cardiff played a friendly against Swansea last week and that probably helped them both in their first games back.
