Hopefully won’t be many more horror shows like this in last eight games. Wouldn’t beat anyone on that performance
We had Aylings header cleared. Smithies pulled off a great save back post. Bamford had one cross straight in front of him but didn't make contact. Bamfords poor 1st touch which let the ball run through to the keeper. Dallas volleyed over the bar. Bamford just missed again because he went with his left instead of his right. Phillips hit the wall with a decent free kick position 1st half. Another cleared off the line as I type. Cooper header in 1st half. Plenty of chances. Not one gone in.
Same thing really, we were again the far better team but either poor finishing or final ball was lacking. Unbelievable save by their keeper from Roberts but Bamford, when he misses good chances we can usually defend him by saying he held the ball up well and at least brought something to the table but he was bollocks in all departments today.
Have to agree with Ristac, there is no possible defence for Bamford today. Apart from clearing the ball off the line (for them) he hasn't done one thing in the whole game. And we have nobody to replace him.
What a depressing return to football. Not just the defeat but the manner of it. Same old story of not converting chances. We need a goal scorer.
Very very worrying performance all over the field. We can not afford any more of that in last eight games. Defeat to Fulham would heap some pressure on
and who were they Eire? Two mistakes, Two goals. At least we play a team next who try and play football. Bamford back to normal, even Mick Mc Carthy stated the obvious, we need a goal scorer.
Well we haven’t lost ground on the pack over the weekend. Not all doom and gloom. Other than that it was rinse and repeat of every other defeat over the last 2 years. Play some nice stuff but struggle to break down packed defences, only give up a few chances but that’s all it takes. First goal is so crucial for us. If we get it sides have to open up. If they get it, they camp out in their own half even more.
Bamford fooking awful, looked like he wouldn't score in 100 years, and he put his leg out to stop a certain goal. how bad must our 18 million pound player be if Bamfords keeping him out.
Enjoy the rest of fathers day everyone,i'm off for a pre dinner drink. As i am speechless over that performance, as what has already been mentioned, being without a natural quality striker could still ultimately cost us.
Spot on Milky(ffs I hate agreeing with you loony lefties) But it's in our hands still. I don't care if we go up 1st or 2nd.
