Each team is allowed 5 substitutions but may only break play 3 times to make them.

Half time substitutions don't count as one of the breaks in play.

For example in the Man city v Arsenal game.

    Man City made substitutions, (65min x 2) + (70min x 2) + (80min x 1) = 5 substitutions introduced using 3 breaks in play.
    Arsenal made substitutions, (8min x 1) + (67min x 3) = 4 substitutions intoduced using 2 breaks in play.

Interestingly Man City finished the game with 10 players as they had used all 5 subs and the allowed 3 breaks in play and then suffered an injury.

Arsenal on the other hand made 4 substitutions but kept back 1 substitute plus their final break in play to allow for such an eventuality.

I'm not sure five subs is that much of an advantage in the championship. Imagine how **** you must be if you're the fifth sub at Cardiff <laugh> <ok>

Got to admit I quite like your banter on here, let us win tomorrow and I'll send positive thoughts for you to go up through the playoffs. That's assuming we don't go tits up the next 8 games after tomorrow ;)

I don't think a win tomorrow is as vital for you as it is for us. A draw would be enough for you but we need the win with Preston awway next weekend being crucial.

I don't expect it will be pretty tomorrow, but 3 points will be the target for Harris - however he gets them. <ok>

Just watched EFL on quest Fulham v Brentford absolutely no passion fronm Fulham. They to me now are not a problem. Brentford look a motivated side and maybe will go up. Five wins and they might go autos stranger things have happened.

We've actually done better than I thought we would TBH.
After dropping out of the top flight again last year (if you're old enough you may recall when that happened to Leeds too!) I thought we'd end up mid-table at best.
Pleasantly surprised we're still in with a shout at this stage of the season.
