I'm sure you must realise I chose my words extremely carefully before posting.

So I'm surprised it was you who called me a racist tbh.

So now you're making sweeping generalisations, about entire nations and speaking on their behalf ....

Yes, you said 'the Chinese' but are now claiming you only meant 'some Chinese'.

So, what is that ... millions, thousands, half a dozen?

Oh I see, you're choosing to stifle debate again with pedantry <ok>

It doesn't matter how many, these are simply more examples of prejudice-slash-stereotyping. Do try and keep up

Not at all, you made another statement that doesn't stack up.

I asked you about it which is how these forums work.

Otherwise people could just post endless drivel and anyone mentioning it would be accused of pedantry.

I stand by what I said , in my opinion the paragraph I copied was racist. In your example you judged a group of North African men unsuitable to be allowed entry to the holiday complex because in your experience they would likely be problematic.
You then say in your next post on the topic,
"If judging races, based on personal experience, is racist then I'm a racist."
To deny a person something judged on country of origin or colour of skin is racist.

Yes, and it's still drivel. At least I'm staying on topic

    vis-a-vis: ,,,more examples of prejudice-slash-stereotyping.

That's quite correct and, if I refused all North African people, that certainly would be racist.

In the case I mentioned I'd have had just the same reaction to a carload of similar English lads in a similar car. They would almost certainly be problematic. Lads like this would travel around the riviera, checking into one camp site after another for one or two nights. The cost would be minimal and they'd often prove to have no tent but would sleep in the car or on the grass which was unpleasant for families.

We'd regularly find them, all through the night, prowling around and, in the morning when they'd vanished, would have an enraged mob of holidaymakers complaining that the trainers, towels, bikes, etc, that they'd left out, were gone.

What you've done is judge me by the example I gave without considering how I'd behave if a different 'nationality' was involved, I can hardly give an exhaustive list of examples. Surely the camp site security, by virtue of that very title, have a duty of care to the decent law abiding people in their jurisdiction.

Or do you believe that anyone should be allowed access to any venue irrespective of the many years of experience of the proprietors?

You said, ''To deny a person something judged on country of origin or colour of skin is racist.''

However I didn't deny them solely because of their country of origin or skin colour ...

... there's an awful lot of grey areas, not everything is black and white.

You judge races on personal experiences, everyone does ...

... if you saying you don't then what exactly do you judge them on?

    Ozzymac:
It's worth remembering that stereotypes are created by the actions/habits seen by many.

    Someone else:
And where do you 'see' this? If it is via the public broadcast TV media and distributed newspapers (as opposed to some selectively bias Internet sites as sources of information) then do you also accept it as reliable portrayal of the way things are?

I've no idea what you're talking about, probably the only thing we have in common ...

    ... I don't think you know either.

let me try and help you with that;-

You see images on TV about knife crime, the images are of black youths

You see images of the Notting Hill Carnival and there are images of black men with dreadlocks smoking ganga

...do you not think images like this feed into stereotyping?

Not in my case or anyone I know.

However, do you believe that all of these negative images should be eliminated and never shown?

I see images of right wing idiots, in London last week, and wouldn't dream of believing they're stereotypical white English.

Do you believe those images should be shown?
