What has a Scottish MP have to do with a PL club deal. They can make rules with devolved power up north including Newcastle now?
It should be a formality now. The PL got what they wanted - affirmative action on piracy. They should fall in line with gov about Saudi "reform", and allow it to pass with a statement, perhaps even saying "reserve the right to now review owners on a yearly basis" or something.
I may be biased, but if they fail it now they're inviting a world of trouble. There's no legitimate link on piracy.
I quite like the idea that we win tomorrow almost guaranteeing safety, being announced the richest club in the world before having the opportunity to pretty much secure villas relegation on Wednesday...
We all like that idea. The problem is this is Newcastle United, and what is more likely is we lose two in a row ending up just 5 points from the relegation zone, with hte PL having called our takeover off and Mandy having another breakdown about it.
Just wait until we have a run of strange decisions go against us with VAR - everyone will be wailing that it's the PL themselves conspiring to get us relegated in order to put off the Saudi's and rescue the PL from their decision making conundrum.
