Expected her to make all but she isnt a typical tearaway, shes just got a lot of speed and you can obviously do what you want with her, a potent combo, they are going for the Morny now apparently and she will take some stopping.

    Nice shout today, well done.
I wonder if Wesley rates that as a decent return on the week?

Had a cheeky little EW on Johnstons outsider Thunder Of Niagara 40/1 in the Coventry.

Some proper horses running at Belmont tonight and one in particular ive been waiting on to reappear in the shape of Mrs Danvers, she looked a top prospect and her form has since been well franked by Finite who is now one of the leading fancies for the Oaks. I was shocked to get 7/2 last night and took the max available, she is still worth backing at 5/2 although its no gimmie as the favourite is a nice type herself, but I hope Mrs Danvers can go right to the top.

I wont do big write ups but I think these are top class prospects and I fancy them strongly.

    5.25 Mischievous Alex 11/4
    6.02 Mrs Danvers 5/2
    8.01 Highland Glory 3/1

Shaking my head at More Beautiful being Evens favourite. I had backed her for the Albany, figuring that the step up to 6F was required. I have always said that the quickest way to get a filly beaten was to run her in the Queen Mary against real speedballs. It happens time after time but O'Brien can't seem to take the hint and he ran her here anyway. He got his answer (Yet again) big time today and maybe one day he will learn the folly of it. The trainer has never sent out the winner of the Queen Mary and yet the punters couldn't throw their money away quick enough on the awful value favourite. More Beautiful had been 25/1 Favourite for the 1000 Guineas next year and that looks a bit of a joke now.

Well done everyone who had Campanelle. Wesley Ward IS a trainer who knows what type of filly you need for the race. I didn't have a bet on the Queen Mary, given that I didn't like the look of More Beautiful at 7/2, it was laughable that she was Evens. Nonsense value.

Another Obrien fav priced up on his name, must have beat trees on debut. Obrien was winning absolutely everything early on in Ireland and had the top 2, 3 or 4 in a lot of races, given the way they have run here, it looks like his horses were just fitter than normal and they are not coming on for the run like they usually would.

What a shocker. That is one of the biggest boil overs in history. Good luck anyone who had that one.

Admiral Nelson was the subject of so much gush from Jason Weaver and Luke Harvey. I didn't agree with their claim that he was the biggest colt in the field but it just shows that looks are not everything. His tiny bubble has burst quickly.

In the end I paid for my losing bets with Saeiqa each-way at 25/1. I felt he held as good a chance as Dark Lion and hadn't ruled out that he might reverse form with Creative Force. In the end both of them reversed the form with the Appleby horse.

Qadder ran a very solid race but just bumped into one of those crazy winners on the day. His form was just about the most solid coming in and he's arguably the one you might want to be with going forward.

The winning jockey has said that Positive is "Special" in his opinion and with the week Clive Cox is having, I had to play the horse who had looked good and perhaps can take more credit now for a close win from Kameko than it perhaps looked at the time.

    3.00 Positive 16/1

Signs that he may be punted.

Normally I wouldnt consider a US horse here at longer than sprint trips but Sharing is a top class filly and if she handles the ground shed have a good chance as this looks a poor Coronation outwith Quadrilateral.

Dutching Alpine Star and Run Wild here - so that probably means Quadrilateral will win it.

Anyway, soon be time for my football team to ruin my Saturday again. Oh how I have missed that.
