The other half has just asked if she minds if she goes for a walk with a friend, with the kids, on Saturday afternoon. You RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR'SSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Emailed the box office. Apparently we do benefit by a small amount but not much so will ask for it back now!
Hmmm, not sure if I should chalk this up as my first missed league home game in 40-odd years or my first experience of the new digital football era. After our apparent 'friendly' tonking by West Ham last week I'm a little less optimistic than I would have been before the break when I was just starting to think about a play-off miracle. I reckon the way we were playing in those last few games we would have given just about anyone a run for their money. I'm going for a squeaky 2-1 win where we all hide behind the sofa for most of the 2nd half.
Hall has indeed left us! So I guess Masterson will now partner Barbet? Alternatively we have Cameron and Wallace. https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/grant-hall-departs
"First missed league home game in 40-odd years" . Well done, Sir! A wonderful and amazing record. I am in awe at youe dedication and determination.. It will probably be strange experience for you to watch the R's at home via QPR+. I really hope that you enjoy it.
Thought it was very honest of Les in what he said about offering hall a very good deal but he wouldn't accept it..... Wish him well but it does give masterson a chance to establish himself for the rest of the season.....
Piping in the crowd today... https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/...9?shareToken=9c78c91febcc551cd5c7996fd23522ec
That's a really good article we're very fortunate to have him as part of the management structure..... very sobering that under 4k would be in under social distancing guidelines.... It's like a new season....how exciting, now just don't balls it up this afternoon.... Up the R's
while its nice to see so many not getting a refund and helping the club were any of the players keen enough to go on reduced wages to help out
Good article - hopefully Hoos has us on even keel and we'll be one of the clubs to prosper post-Covid due to his efforts in reducing the clubs debts before Covid
To my mind, following his injuries, Hall never quite recaptured the form he showed at the beginning of his time at the club. Moreover, we supported him during the doubtless trying times of injury and, therefore, I am a little disappointed that he has now chosen to leave us. Of course, football is a short career etc etc but it always has been and I remember, and miss, the times when there was a stronger connection between a club and (most of) its players. In those days, players were not even as well rewarded as they are nowadays and incidents like this, plus the likely departure of Eze and BOS, puts football in the right context, that of a financial transaction. Forever R's? Give me a break. Quickly, off the top of my head, Bircham, Cook, Gallen and Hill are amongst a limited number of players from the last decade or so who have demonstrated anything more than a passing affection for our club. In fact, those guys last played 10+ years ago. Any other names, anyone? More recent names? I am sure there are a few more but it is a limited number and I regret that. If the players stop showing loyalty, why should I show it? (Although I did refuse a refund of my season ticket.) Rant over.
