I give up, it's impossible to have a debate with someone who ignores questions and just continues to spout his mantra whilst attempting to disguise his intended insults.
I wonder upon whom the ignominy has bestowed blessings No ...I'm trying to continue the dialogue Please make your question more clear or write it in another way or do summit!
I'm making my final reply to any of your posts and would suggest you stop using words you don't understand! It's not big and it's not clever - quite the opposite! Is that clear enough for you?
I would have thought that the question was fairly simple. Do you think that some people have benefitted from the negative stereotypes that society may bestow upon them? Might also add that not only does the word ignominy seem out of context (a bit like old statues) it appears that you've used the word to seem all intelligent then finished with "summit" Why do you want Owld Fella to climb to the top of a mountain or hill? Or are you just trying to sound not intelligent?
Not what I read Pretty sure it was about benefitting from not fitting a racial stereotype and hiding behind said stereotype when it suits. Few layers to the question hence the debate. I'm not entirely sure what motivated the initial post but it has got a reaction.
Fair enough. I'd say yes, quite a few do and it doesn't just apply to racial stereotypes. It's worth remembering that stereotypes are created by the actions/habits seen by many. Take a show we have here called Border Security (It's to do with people coming through immigration and customs at airports). It's amazing how well one particular race appear to understand questions until they've been caught doing something wrong and then suddenly they can't understand english.
I don't deny that people of ethnic minorities are at times very keen to pull the race card ...ref post where I posted;- please log in to view this image
And where do you 'see' this? If it is via the public broadcast TV media and distributed newspapers (as opposed to some selectively bias Internet sites as sources of information) then do you also accept it as reliable portrayal of the way things are?
I've read quite a lot of the owld feller posts on other topics and thought them useful contributions... BUT ( a big but) on this thread I have to assume him and Tommy Robinson are quite close...
I've watched that! Are you referring to the Koreans and Thais? I have to admit I was pretty shocked by the attitude to the indigenous folk in Oz when I was there. The deaths in police custody are also remarkable, for want of better term. Not related to your post btw, just remembering. Tbf I was much more politically aware/correct when I went to Oz than as a younger man who left the north east packed with racist preconceptions. Thankfully I lost them fairly quickly as I realise life was very different outside my white Jarrow bubble.
I have tried to get to this: Perhaps we need to be more clear or specific with the word stereotypes in this context DUO: just my observation ,,,take it or leave it with sweet sorrow: either or both and finally TRES: Why do I "want Owld Fella to climb to the top of a mountain? But for the exercise which would probably be good for any of us ...To put it another way, I genuinely do not wish anything of the sort and 3 different people have run aground trying to engage in an answer
Owld fella went for Shameless from first post, then backed off in outrage. Not ad hominem, more passive aggressive but I assume they have history. I'm getting the impression Owld Fella is not a social worker, might be wrong and not for the first time.
Will first couple of posts do? Not very hard. In particular, a reply/opinion would be much appreciated from @@Shameless , who appears to view himself as the supreme judge on this matter. It wouldbe a typical reaction from the stereotypical 'bigmouth' who cannot support his views when challenged. Sure I could dig out more but got me papers to read.
