There's definitely a lot of people in nursing who believe we were treating patients in early January for it. I also know of two people who I'm absolutely convinced had it around that time.
But without knowing about the vicious spread of the virus, it would have circulated really fast. You know how selfish people are when they are ill. 'Oh, I was feeling really....sniff......bad today, so I thought I'd pop out for some fresh air.....!' While seating in close proximity to a load of people. It would have been rampant. And once it got into hospitals and care homes, without the knowledge, it would have spread like wild fire.
I'm still convinced I had it in January - had all the symptoms and knocked me for 6 for a good couple of weeks. Never felt so ill in my life. No idea if it was or not, mind!
Did everyone know that the new Covid-19 Tracker App is already on your phone? Don’t believe me? Android phones go to Settings, then Google settings, and it’s there. iPhones go to Settings, then Privacy, the Health. I think I would prefer to have had the choice, but hey ho... Edit: it seems it isn’t the app, it’s just the software that goes with it. You still need to download the app.
Can't see anything on mine. Quick Google found this though: https://fullfact.org/health/covid-1...been-automatically-downloaded-peoples-phones/
Good job as I was about to bin my phone off and get myself a drug dealer phone. Sure you all would've missed my posts
A major casino, in Southampton, will re-open on reduced hours (were open 24hours before) and they will be shedding 33% of their staff! Sadly this will probably be happening every where. Hard times ahead, for many.
Interesting interview. More than 1000 coronavirus deaths for 20 consecutive days. https://www.lbc.co.uk/radio/present...ent-were-underplaying-coronavirus-death-rate/
This photo shows how the Spanish beaches are being segregated by roped off areas. Really impressed by the way they are still managing the easing of lockdown, instead of just telling people to “stay alert”.
Just heard from a friend of mine who works backstage in a west bed theatre that she’s been made redundant at end of next month, with little chance of getting another position. The entertainment industry in this country is in for incredibly tough times I don’t see theatres and music venues opening for a very long time ....
I suppose the one positive is, millions of us must be dying to see a bit of live music, so the pent up demand will be massive
