How do you sell Lukaku and Stones for £100m, put in another £350m cash, and only end up with a squad worth £400m?
Shocked that you’re so eager to deflect away from the fact that FSG are such cheap ****s. Oh and https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spo...ews/evertons-squad-valued-worlds-top-16458189
Furlough FC until bad press made them back peddle. £75 a seat in the Stapler stand until the fans kicked off. Now, repaying STH’s weekly. They’re cheap ****s, hence the reason they ditched the SP stadium and went for a mismatched redevelopment and they’re now not providing Klopp with money for the likes of - for example - Werner.
Everton players are on 50% wage deferral and manager and other staff on 30% wage deferral. Not sure if any other PL club has taken that route. On the plus side they have a much smaller overall staff size than us for example. Their shop staff and caterers aren't employed by the club directly and are all furloughed.
In the real world... they didn't furlough staff, they didn't increase ticket prices, 100% of ticket money will be refunded, a new stand is delivered with more planned, and Klopp has been backed with world record fees
The rule was never going to stop clubs going bust, no rule will stop people applying **** financial management. But it was intended to stop owners coming in and spending more than the club can afford, therefore leaving them in the ****. And I argued when it first came in that it wouldn't work btw, it's setup in a way that makes it easier for clubs to stay at the top.
In the real World they’d have furloughed staff and increased seat prices if it wasn’t for the uproar and they’re paying back fans on the weekly. Amazing how you’re now lauding world record fees after crowing about such a low net spend when it suited a different argument.
Don't you usual go out your way to point out how much we spend and shrug of the net spend argument? Guessing that doesn't matter now your pushing "FSG are cheap skates" argument though...
I'm not sure what the season ticket argument is about. Fans are being paid back depending on how they paid for their tickets. While we've suspended renewals, Everton are taking payments for next season's renewal. It's a bit of a daft argument.
This is plain wrong. SOME Everton players have agreed wage deferrals of up to 50%, and Ancelotti and his backroom staff have agree deferrals of up to 30%. All of which were voluntary and individually agreed. No Everton staff outside of this have seen any wage reductions. So all full and part time staff at the club and EiTC have remained on full pay. The actions of subcontractors is nothing to do with Everton football club.
Low net spend is a sign of player development (high fees received plus players promoted to first team) while record transfer fees is a sign of ambition and backing of the manager. Every club would want both but few could achieve it, and none could achieve it while also delivering major trophies. The last few years of Liverpool is literally the greatest achievement in sporting ownership and management ever.
Everton are also giving fans the option of just letting them off with the refund and keeping the money.
Yep, this sports retail store is nothing to do with Everton Football Club Company Limited please log in to view this image
Is right. It’s run by Fanatics and not EFC, their decisions are beyond the control of the club. Not complicated.
