Takeover (Covid-19/20)

There's a mobile chip van does the rounds in the Bearpark/ Ushaw/ New Branceoeth/ Brandon area. Amazing fish and chips.

Chippy in Langley Park does quality f & c too. Then there's Bells of course. Ultimate for me is the Magpie Cafe in Whitby.

 

Hope you've been giving them plenty of water, it'll be the end of June for my earlies, hell if it's been dry for the last three months here in Northumberland.

 

Ah...the Magpie in Whitby, what a place(no pun intended). Remember winning a game of spoof on a golf trip some years ago and we were playing for any meal you wanted at the Magpie.
The biggest and best sea food platter I've ever had. Every other night it was fish and chips...

 

Used to be a Chippy half way up Bearpark on the left as you headed “up” the road. Is that still there? Going back to early 1980’s. Chips were awful. Really, really greasy. Always used to be a queue on a Friday night.

Best chippy for me at the present is down at the quayside in North Shields. Absolutely delicious fish.

 

Nah there's no chippy in Bearpark anymore. Pizza shop that does so so pizzas and that's it.

Haven't been to North Shields in years. Colmans in South Shields used to be amazing. Not anymore.

 

Always a massive queue to get in there. Then you have to avoid the seagulls if you decide to chance the bandstand!

 

Seems things never change. Just read some headlines and sadly I’m moving into the “it’s off” camp.

Newcastle said to be following a recent tendency of signing useless, immobile strikers. Apparently we have had a £50M bid for an immobile striker from Napoli turned down. Sure sign Ashley’s staying.

 

You cant make chips from new potatoes - unless you live down south of course.

He's a ****ing knacka. The frankly mental defence of Bruce (consistently ignoring the stats thrown at him) and the persistent negativity around this takeover to a point where he looks worse than Richard Keys stand him out as the very worst of all of them. The fact George Caulkin has repeatedly corrected him is just embarrassing. He's made Louise Taylor and Craig Hope look like competent journalists.

 

As you yourself know, just because you're a ****, it doesn't mean you know every ****.
