Events recently have shackled our own police force (who at times have dropped clangers) from upholding the law to its full requirement.

Political correctness has crippled this country in many ways in recent years.....10/20 years ago many of the things that are now accepted as norm would have been unacceptable by society then.

Covid-19 is being stretched to the limit by thousands going to a rave over the weekend....social distancing comes second when murder and one woman being raped is on the agenda.

I would have some sympathy with this Social distancing thing if the people who make these rules actually made some that were understandable. For example me and my Mrs could not go and visit and stay with a single person to form a "bubble" because we are two. However because that one person we would have visited is just that, one, they can come and stay with us and for the same bubble but in our place not their's. We virtually go to the same places to see the same people at the same time. i.e. Shopping. But even though to all intense and purposes we are as one we cannot mix with a family member and Co. together.

And you wonder why people ignore it never mind Cummings Law.

Latest is that the moron Trump is considering withdrawing US forces from Europe. Now I agree Europe including the UK should pay more for its own defence but what does that say to mad dog Putin about the Baltic states, central Europe and Ukraine?

It's not just the UK that's falling apart post Brexit, it's the international institutions that have kept the peace since 1945: UN, EU, NATO, WTO.... you name it, they're all under attack from pin brained nationists.

Shoppers literally fighting to get into one store (think it was Primark) today as shops opened....no sign of social distancing in some cases....they're all mad, bonkers....with no respect to the Covid-19 rules.

Now you would think...."Black Lives Matter"...would want to close Primark down....their junk clothes are cheap because they pay their workers in the far east a bowl of rice a day....slave wages....but the video pictures showed you that nearly all the shoppers pushing and shoving were BAME ones.....doesn't add up ?

You mean the store was in Birmingham. Not surprising that a lot were black is it. However I do agree with the slave labour point, Having said that they aren't the only ones by a long shot and if we boycotted all of the Stores that got their goods from the same markets then we would probably be walking around naked.

McDonalds, KFC, IKEA, Primark. We can't get enough of them.

Who needs statues when these are the new British icons. All we need now is Wetherspoons and Nandos.

McDonalds are open for drive-thru customers....there's one less than a couple of miles from me...on the A21 (Hastings Road)...it has a large car park but even so the queue of cars goes out onto the main road in both directions blocking thru traffic.....signs have been put up to not queue on the main road....but it's pointless for those gagging for their McDonalds fix.....I wouldn't allow my funeral cortege to go pass the place on the way to my final resting place let alone go in.....what do people see in the place I just don't know.....I do believe in the early years they were taken to court because their chips (or sticks) didn't have any potato in them at all.

I did mention McDonalds the other day....a council had stopped locals parking outside their homes because of the traffic jams it caused.....in the case of the A21 there are yellow lines...so no parking anyway.....just traffic jams at times on the main Hastings road out of Bromley.

So sorry to hear that the snooker player Willie Thorne has passed away at the age of 66 years...with leukaemia....long time commentator once he had retired from competition.....quite a character.

Dame Vera Lynn has died at the age of 103.....get ready for an ocean of memories sweeping over the nation today.....I don't think we'll get away with it this time....the Germans will surely notice...... and there won't be a dry eye in the house.

Well for you non Sky Sports aficionados, I watched the first half of Aston Villa v Wolves game yesterday.

Firstly, i won't be paying to go to any behind closed doors games any time soon. Awful.

Sky had 2 versions: one raw and one with simulated crowd noise added. The latter sounded like random words shouted in a foreign language with each speaker holding a cushion over their mouth.

To be fair the players tried hard enough: there was a lot at stake for both sides. That won't be the case in some games. I gather David Luis was sent off in the Man City v Arsenal game, but then, he's a lunatic at the best of times.

It's good to see the games being played to finish a season fairly where there are megabucks at stake but very strange to watch.

I wouldn't ask David Luis for his lottery numbers....he came on in the 23rd minute because of injury....cocked up a clearance before h/t which Sterling scored from .....and then got sent off in the 49th minute for shirt pulling Mahrez.....His Arsenal career isn't going well.....cost £8 million... and this was his 4th red card of the season....as you say notDistant a lunatic at the best of times......bumbled through 26 minutes before getting the chop.....have Arsenal sunk this low buying known problem players....no wonder they've sunk to mid-table oblivion (9th).

HIGNFY have hailed the return to action within the EPL' in safety, noting that the Arsenal defenders maintained a 2 metre separation from Man City players throughout the game.

No not never....especially now I've heard about the tinned applause....how awful.

You could have ten cut-out cardboard fans linked to a real fan sitting in the middle....linked to their arms....so every time he moves they move as well....must be a little bit like being at Chelsea or Man City.

Technology wins over eyesight......Oliver Norwood's 42nd minute free kick goal is disallowed because the refs watch didn't get a signal....depriving Sheffield United a 1-0 win...the goalie is in the side netting clutching the ball actually behind the post.....what is difficult to work out about that....doesn't eyesight matter anymore.

Once they had what they thought was infallible technology, they stopped looking.

Seven cameras trained on the game.....maybe you need cameras embedded into the goal posts and crossbar......of course a few spectators would have told the Ref what had happened.

Been watching the Bournemouth v Palace game on the BBC.....H/T now with Palace two up.....okay game ...and the canned crowd is alright...so don't really miss the real thing....probably different for the players....better than no sound and here the players effing away all match.....Bournemouth look a team of midgets against Palace....yet they continue to pump high balls forward.
