I suspect your definition of "British" is a lot narrower than most ...

 

What happens when some footballer says they support BLM but they do not agree to taking the knee? Is this optional or would clubs hound out any player or member of staff who refuses to kowtow to this?

 

Given the number of black players in the EPL now, I can't see it as a problem ... if the lives of your teammates don't matter to you, you're a bit of an uber **** and better off playing in a minor league in a backward country where rascism is still accepted

But why insist that the only way to show support is kneeling down? Clapping, observing silence, wearing arm bands etc would all do just as well.

Once again we are being pussied into following whatever the Yanks want, this taking the knee stuff started with American Footballers. There are already reports of Police regretting taking the knee in the States as they felt pressured into doing so and appeared to be saying sorry for sh.it others have done.

Just wait until November when GC has its annual "will you wear a Poppy" thread and see the level of beel that ensues. Tell someone to wear a flower and it all kicks off.
