Great news. I remember the situation well as it was the summer I emigrated to Canada & Barrow failed to be re-elected to the FL under strange circumstances. Too isolated geographically and the presence of a speedway around their football pitch were a couple of the cited reasons for their non re-election.
Good job City never ended up in that situation - too isolated & smells of fish would have been used.

We’ll probably be playing them season after next, unless they get promoted to league one.

City last played Barrow in a senior game in September 1957. A thrilling 0-0 draw!

And the manager who led them to their highest-ever league position also v nearly managed us to back-to-back promotions, missing out on that single goal at Burnley in front of three sets of fans.
