So I've taken some time out today to investigate this bloke Mauriss. He appears to live on a suburb in Brea, California, on an estate in a detached house. Not a ranch, not Beverly Hills. He set up ClearTV in the UK using a bloke who I'm actually connected to on LinkedIn. That bloke's net worth is listed as £1k. That's not a typo, he's literally just a guy in IT. He's not in ANY rich list, anywhere. There's no news, pictures, or links to him. He created his own bio using Wordpress in 2014, where he has a couple of posts talking about tips on starting a business and how he loves his daughters. ClearTV aren't a TV company. A document from 2018, with Mauriss' signature, has their annual revenues listed as less than $1m. None of this has been discovered or covered by the UK media.

Why? He doesn't put that much in to it we essentially run ourselves. If someone bought the club, but didn't have any money left, the new sponsorship deals we would secure instead of getting nothing in return for the sports direct branding would be more significant.

He said he wants to emulate Liverpools model. He said he wants to improve our youth setup and training facilities with the emphasis on creating our own players and being self sufficient. He also said he wants a main club with lots of feeder clubs in different leagues around the world, adding a new club to the portfolio every year. Does that sound like someone who doesn't have any money.

Sunderland had one and he was useless. To me though, the Saudi bid would offer the most comfort that **** will get done right.
