mauriss can **** off mind ... that is if he's trying to hijack the deal ... I mean be a clearly just in it for small returns over time. I do have a concern that the Saudi deal gas been failed either weeks ago or in the last 24 hrs hence this bid today.
I've no idea what to believe, I'm still sure there's another twist here featuring either Peter Kenyon or, more likely, Scooby Doo. On the face of it today, the PL have made themselves look really, really foolish by delaying until the release of the WTO report, which in itself hasn't offered any reason to block it. The Mauriss situation is baffling - the guy is linked to both Mike Ashley and Qatar, so could be either Qatar playing silly-buggers or Ashley moving the goalposts. Staveley et al remain completely silent, though again reputable rumours have said they are desperate to say something, to set the record straight, but are prevented from doing so by the NDA and - by extension - the Premier League (again). Nobody with a legal brain or decent knowledge thinks the bid from PIF can be blocked. Nobody with any knowledge or journalistic capability has a ****ing clue who Henry Mauriss is, apart from being under investigation by the FBI, already convicted of Fraud and worth about £300m. Nobody can offer an explanation as to why, when something is sold for £300m, anyone would offer £350m - least of all someone who doesn't even HAVE £350m. Nobody can understand why the Premier League have taken this long - they knew the WTO report findings long before it was published. In short, both Qatar and the PremierLeague have made themselves look foolish, if not outright stupid. Qatar are using this as way to carry on their cold proxy war with Saudi, and have been exposed in doing so, looking a bit sad in the whole thing. The PL have had to pretend their O&D test is forensic, when in reality it really isn't (multiple sources confirm). They seem to have dug themselves into a hole where every day delay is making them look increasingly incompetent and does lend itself to ANOTHER conspiracy, and that's the influence of other clubs on the test. Nobody is coming out of this looking good. Ashley is going to tear into the PL. Whoever ends up buying the club isn't going to be overwhelming with praise. I think the PL have already passed a point of looking incredibly poor and are now trying to work out damage limitation. The integrity of everything needs to be called into question. If the PL now just pass this test, many are going to say "so what the **** took so long?" and demand transparency. If they fail it, the likely legal action will expose them further. I honestly feel they just don't know what to do and are basically trying to avoid anything in the hope it goes away. Let's be clear - the PL are just a collection of sales & marketing execs, these people are not law makers, legal eagles, corporate hotshots. It's a 300 employee "company" absolutely ****ting bricks about the threat from KSA on one side, and the threat from its' members on the other.

It’s more likely that on paper they have 18b of assets. But it’s not easy to turn into cash. Something totally stinks doesn’t it. Cant believe MA hasn’t just dropped a legal case on this yet.
Lot of property. But, yes, this stinks as a deal. Everything about it. From sportswashing, to clubs' influence, to Qatar's blackmail, to PL incompetence, to journalists failing miserably.
Honestly I’m even sick of reading the same **** articles on newsnow just quoting twitter **** and retweets. It’s all a ****ing mess. On the plus side premier league football is back.
