Oh, we do have some news. Henry Mauriss has lodged a bid of £350m for NUFC, according to Ian Dennis. Quite where he got £350m is a mystery. Think I'll lodge a bid for £351m this afternoon.
Yeah, I said that ages ago. I think the rumour was right - Staveley's bid ended about 6 weeks ago. Mauriss then came back, underwent the tests and has now "lodged" his bid. If you look at many comments from Ryder, he always felt that the actual "bid" came after everything else was done. So it's entirely possible that all of this WTO **** is smoke & mirrors, that Staveley is not buying this club and that - as I suspected a while ago - someone in the US would be our owners.
