I shall be back in 30 mins with a cuppa and fully expect a complete precis of the findings from one of you
To be fair I would say that the guessing is only about 80% of the thread. The rest of it is about whether Robert was as good as Hatem, on what avi’s should be on losing a bet, what players to buy and that was just in the first 60 odd pages.
By my reckoning it will take us about 30,000 years to travel 3 light years around the sun. Sounds about right.
So from my read of this, Saudi has been found at fault and required to change the following: 1) Their obstruction of Qatar being allowed access to lawyers in their courts (all Saudi law firms refused and the WTO have said that needs to change). 2) Saudi should have allowed criminal proceedings against BeoutQ. So, basically, no connection to PIF and even if there were no grounds for refusal, as neither of these are criminal acts on the part of Saudi, nor would be considered to be so in a U.K. court. It’s just saying that Saudi’s government control of their legal system is not in accordance with WTO rules and needs to change. Worst case scenario is that PL defer approval until Saudi agree a plan to change the above. But can’t see them refusing on grounds here. link to conclusions only here: https://www.wto.org/english/tratop_e/dispu_e/567r_conc_e.pdf
So...... no mention of PIF Well, all I can say is that I doubt very much that it would be blocked based upon this report. However, I get this feeling it won't be resolved until conclusion of this season.
So what I said. Come on, gang, on to the next deadline!! What are we looking at now? First match? Safety? End of season?
