3pm. The WTO report establishes that the Saudi's haven't done enough to eradicate piracy. Their inaction has allowed it to happen. Their failure to allow legal action to be taken is down to the state. They have closed down beoutQ but cannot combat piracy alone. No evidence that beoutQ streams originate from Saudi. Saudi offers mediation via TV deal rights. Resolve. No direct link to PIF. The above does not give grounds for refusing deal. Qatar cannot stop the deal. Qatar loses.
Qatar are trying everything in their power to stop this. They cannot stop a corporate transaction between a private company and a consortium. That is the fundamental issue. They clearly do not understand how the law in this country works. The WTO establishes piracy but every single country on earth has facilitated piracy at some point. The Saudis are reforming. Slowly, but still steps. They can address piracy by buying a PL club and having motivation to stop illegal broadcasting. TV rights offers that.
If by “all along” you mean “exactly 50% of the time” then yes. Although that will also be true if it fails.
The issue is comments such as "it's unrelated" could have emanated from the PremierLeague WEEKS ago. They haven't done that. I'm with Jim, they're clearly a bunch of fannies who will more than likely scupper it.
*At* the start. If it goes through I freely admit you held the correct position at the start. For about five minutes. However you have since abandoned your various positions with a frequency and alacrity worthy of the French armed forces.
