A lot of things that happen with cops, are often in relation to black people. I can't speak for cops these days, however, back in my youth, would cops stitch you up, yes they would. The general rule was, you admit to certain crimes, so they left you alone. It was like cleaning the slate, for all the crimes you got away with, and the old bill got their statistics. Would cops threaten to beat you up, yup, they would do that to. Would they harass you at your home for no reason, yup. Would they check your vehicle for no just reason, yup they would do that to. Were there good cops, of course there was. It wasn't just black people it was anyone below the poverty line. So I can't say if your article is for real, but I don't need to know, because I have a fair knowledge of what cops do.

Big problem I have with paying taxes is that you have little or no say about what it is spent on. If I did have a choice, I'd want mine split between health, education and social care for the elderly.

It is barbaric, in my humble opinion, that in the 21st century governments spend billions on nuclear weapons that would end the world if used and on sending twats into space for nothing much more than national vanity. Would be fine with the latter if there weren't people on this earth in extreme poverty and dying of malnutrition - that there are, is a sad indictment of humanity and the ****ed up values of those in positions of power.

    Rant over.

Rashford is hard left? Or you're just confused?

Must get difficult for you at times. He's a red, you're a red; but you're also a true blue, through and through. Awkward.

MP’s meals are subsidised by the tax payer. For every £10 an MP spends on his lunch the tax payer picks up £7.60 of it.

Cost of a free school meal - £2.30.

OMFG! Any chance you got a link to this info Tobes, this is just shocking - I've been having this discussion elsewhere and the info via a link would be useful.

I made comment in the early days of the virus, asking what's going to happen with kids that have free school meals. As I've indicated many times, I know what it's like to come from a poorer back ground, and school meals were a life saver.

I see. That’s all you’ve got is it? You laid the bait, I thought you might at least follow up with a half decent response when I took it.

So you don’t think it’s refreshing that at least one PL player hasn’t forgotten where he came from, and actually gives a **** about ordinary people struggling on the breadline?

I’d be quite proud of him if he played for my club.

It’s based on the subsidy that amounts to circa £6m a year for both Houses, that keeps prices of food and alcohol to a level where MP’s & Peers on an £80k salary plus expenses, can afford mate. Not got a link, that figure wedged in my memory though.

Couldn’t be more proud of Marcus Rashford, the cause is brilliant. You’ve misinterpreted my quote (as I’ve others tbf so fair point), I was talking about the hard left hi-jacking his cause and making it a political bashing (even MR states that it doesn’t need to get political in a sense) that will flare up tensions. I was wondering if this will happen by the way, not saying that it is happening, although I can see flutters of it starting.

A "Covid summer school fund" is being set up by the government to help feed children during the holidays, after a campaign by footballer Marcus Rashford.
Children eligible for free school meals in term time in England will get a six-week voucher, Downing Street said.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson welcomed Mr Rashford's "contribution to the debate around poverty".
The Manchester United forward, 22, had called for a U-turn in plans not to offer meals during the holidays.
The support works out as about £15 a week per recipient, and will cost the taxpayer about £120m.

Cost of free school meals for the 6 week summer holiday - £120m

Cost of the ‘Get ready for Brexit’ advertising campaign in the weeks running up to the 31st October ‘no deal’ deadline that was never going to happen - £100m.

Cost of hiring ferries incurred by Chris Grayling, that were never used, some from companies that didn’t own any actual ferries, for ‘no deal’ Brexit preparations - £83m

Can we not just let the less fortunate Kids share a meal? We could half that 120 million straightaway. I’m guessing they don’t eat a lot anyway so their stomachs probs couldn’t even handle a full meal.
