I'm so glad I never have to worry about this day, while others torture themselves worrying, and then panic and end up getting cheap flowers from a petrol station

 

And they say romance is dead ey? Nah. I haven't got any plans either, in fact I HATE VALENTINES DAY

 

I'm taking the missus for a meal on monday night, a couple of nice gifts for her as well....bless,she puts up with loads hehe.

Than hopefully she'll be treating me as it's me birthday aswell!.

 

So do I, almost as much as Halloween.

 

That must be weird, it's your birthday and you're bringing gifts as well ha ha

 

Yeah Sgt...she does enjoy her gifts,I don't mind she has been great to me over the years.

Me: This monday...
Dad: Oooooooooooh when your my age, valentines day isn't that important. She'll get a card from me though.
Me: AND it's her birthday too!?!

Nobody to spend it with and its another day for lovey dovey couples to rub your face in it..

 

I had a few years like that Jub....hopefully never again for me.

 

The girlfriend hates Valentines Day almost as much as I do. So she's getting a massive soppy card, with hearts and pink, and a picture of the two of us, and if I have time, flowers and chocolate. She's going to go mental!

 

I just hate it because I just think it's such an over-hyped thing, a lot like Halloween. I just find it odd that people celebrate them and there partners love on the day St Valentine was buried.

No offence Norfolk, just not my thing mate, but as it's your birthday you do have a legitimate reason to celebrate it

If you want to go the whole hog and be REALLY cheesy and annoying, put rose petals on your bed, that should wind her right up!!

 

That would be brilliant! If only she didn't live in Scotland! Last time I was visiting her, she heard one of her friends had booked a hotel room for her girlfriend, then made a big heart with a soppy message inside it, all written in rose petals. I thought she was going to put her fist through a wall!
