In addition. With the members of WTO being countries the only way the PL could have got the documents is by a leak. Thus our reasoning earlier in this thread about why the delay. Until this meeting and subsequent release of further info the PL cannot act on anything. Hence the delay!
This. As I've said, this whole charade has been about buying the PL time to try and secure their REAL agenda, which is to block the takeover. I mean, what are the PL anyway? They're effectively a collaborative 'TV rights sales & marketing' arm representing the big 6 clubs. The bottom 14 change and have barely any fans. Is it in these clubs' interests to approve a new era for Newcastle, on top of the threat already posed by Leicester and Wolves? It's actually astonishing that this has anything to do with the PL, when you think about it - this stuff should sit 100% with the FA.
I suspect that Qatar are not going to come out of this report well. It would be funny if theey were found to be complicit.
They won't. But it will come out that they haven't done enough and have received no support from Qatar.
I've lost all faith of a positive outcome. I hope I'm wrong but I think it's going to end badly as always for Newcastle
Saudi's problem was not allowing people to use their courts to prosecute. The inference is they were protecting the piracy, to the detriment of Bein. It's a squabble between those two. The issue is Qatar often alienate themselves from the rest of the Middle East due to harbouring/supporting terrorist groups, so it seems ****ing incredible that sports organisations are somewhat supportive of them ahead of Saudi/UAE, etc. Anyway, didn't I read somewhere that both sides are desperate to say something but are tied by NDA's? As with everything, I find it astonishing that the PL have this much control. You're talking about a handful of crappy middle-managers having States, billionaires and thousands of fans held at ransom. 11 weeks of no comment, purely because of some bureaucracy that is SUPPOSED to stop clubs from being controlled by people without access to funds or with criminal records. In our case, it's stopping the takeover purely down to other issues (fear) and anyone thinking otherwise is VERY naive.
This will all come out. The Saudi argument is that Qatar and others did not provide evidence to show that streams originated from Saudi. They asked for it and were brushed off.
Or they knew and turned a blind eye. Using the old not enough evidence trick. Either way the meetings today and I doubt that a decision by the PL will he made quick afterwards. I just want to know the ruling and more importantly what the sanctions are. That is what will lead the PL decision!
If anyone is not fit and proper it's the people running the PL. Astonishing thay they have the power to decide the fate of others when they themselves are **** at their jobs and not fit for purpose. A bit like managers within Local Authorities.
Yeah same. The Government have been very supportive of the Saudis and sang their praises over the past couple of weeks. That says to me that it is not going to be damning.
100 percent. I said this a couple of months ago, if they fail in buying us they'll busy dust themselves off, hide behind an investment vehicle and buy someone else within the year.
Wasn't the 15th supposed to be some sort of key date? We'll that's been and gone. Oh well, it's Wayne Fereday's birthday today! Did anyone see this **** play? I'm pretty sure he was the worst player I've ever seen, a winger who made Albert Luque look like a world beater.
I don't suppose it ever was, but unless it can demonstrate a causal link between PIF and the piracy, then it doesn't matter.
