So only 6 months ago. Beginning to think this WTO will have ZERO impact on the PL decision and we're still weeks away
It’s connected. This report is Saudis response to the piracy and other tbings. It’s a hard read especially when I was reading at 4am this morning. The conclusion on page 28 essentially says that Saudi denies things.
Item number 76 specifically stated they have tried to stop the piracy but without the help of external entities they can’t do much about it.
So the piracy has nothing to do with them And They did try to stop it earlier than it was stopped All good then. Obviously this is the SA stance so who knows what Qatar will produce.
This opens a can of worms. Individual rights holders should cooperate with KSA to help combat piracy. In other words - they are claiming that Qatar haven't KSA tried to stop it. The best way to stop piracy is legal ownership of rights. The PL will love that.
Yes this report is from nov 19 and is their defence against the piracy allegations. Clearly states that they are quite adamant they are not involved in the piracy but merely suggests that they do not have enough info/support/proof from other interested parties to stop what is happening. They don’t deny it either mind! That is is happening. And on their soil! Unless I just have not come to that point yet.
No denial at all. Their argument is that 'right' holders have failed to cooperate with them to stop infringement. They state that they have taken all reasonable measures to combat but that alone cannot stop it. They point out that it happens worldwide and that the only way to truly stop it is legal ownership of rights.
This report we are talking about is just their defence against it. Quite strong mind. It’s a bit like me (bein) accusing you (Saudi) of taking my popcorn. The crumbs are on your table (Saudi) but there is no evidence to say you (Saudi) ate the popcorn. So you (Saudi) ask me (bein) for some evidence and you (Saudi) will help. But i don’t give any. I still think the WTO report will reveal more though!
This is the meeting and the documents Theron will be the ones we are interested in. 12am. I said yesterday that we should have a good idea what is happening today. I hope I was right.
There’s a lot of interested parties in this mate it’s bigger than just our takeover. If the WTO believe Saudi have done something or not done something as is more likely the case then expect the world to know about it once the members get the info.
For the record as well. Remember the members of the WTO are countries. The report will have been released to the countries and the uk government have been singing the praises of Saudi in the last few days.
