Not sure how the PL deciding they are not fit owners could result in a court case. What has the £17m been spent on, is it a few the PL need to be paid ?

Company law disqualification. Insolvency law disqualification. Company Directors disqualification Act. Fraud Act. Dishonesty. Criminal offences. Copyright infringement in the UK. Football related offences in the UK. Conduct outside of the UK that in the reasonable opinion of the board, would constitute an offence in the UK.
Ashley as a member could sue PL as they have a legal duty of care to each member. Saudi’s could piggy back onto that. Saudi’s could I believe also sue as an interested party (member subject to approval) harmed by PL not following and applying its policies and procedures assuming that is the case. The £17M is the deposit paid by the Saudi’s to Ashley which we are told is non refundable.

Anyone else just want to be put out of our misery. We all know deep down we are balls deep in **** on this one. It’s amazing regarding the piracy. It’s not like they are short of a bob or two is it. They should have just admitted it.
Well if the PL feels they don’t meet the requirements and also Their requirements to protect the interests of the other PL member(current, regarding TV money piracy) then I am unsure how they would have a case. No legal expert however. The £17m is an issue between Newcastle and the SA guys/AS and Ruben Bro.s
One thing I am wondering is why Ashley is so quiet on all this. He’s quiet when it suits him but this doesn’t. He’s gone back to Miami which is also odd for me if there’s a mahoosive problem pending it all failing! Surely he’s entitled to know at any stage wtf is going on as it’s him that stands to lose a lot of money if it fails. This very point makes me wonder if it’s still all just sorting legal **** out on a level we have not seen before. Am I just being positive here which is very odd for me!
