human rights isn't the issue basically it's all a loaf of ****e .. they just vote based on what they get under the table
by then the issue will no longer be an issue and Mike will have sold us to the next venky like owner.
If it’s true (which I don’t think it is) and the top officials at the PL get to vote on it then that’s just a legal argument waiting to happen. The top guy at the PL (masters) said it was a difficult and in depth process so if it falls down to people voting with their biased minds then that’s just a joke. Im seeing scepticism creeping into people’s posts who where up to last week positive. Why would the PL ever vote for this when it would upset the big boys in the top six. I am actually not surprised. They have had a very very nice distraction to use for the last 3 months in our takeover whilst they ****ed about with the premier league restarting. The only thing the PL need is for the WTO to release their report and they have the perfect weapon to say “NOPE - your not welcome to the party”
I doubt it's a vote as such. I would presume both would have to be against for it to fail whereas only 1 minimum needed to pass. I may well be wrong on this.
I said exactly what GG said. All this stuff is just a convenient delaying tactic. The only thing that matters is the wealthy competition don't want this to happen, so it won't happen. I also said what DPP wrote - there's no more an exec board at the PL than there is at NUFC. The PL is the monkey to the PL clubs organ grinder - people think its some big business, some massive entity, really powerful - it's nothing of the sort. It's a few admin people taking care of the paperwork for overseas TV rights. It literally does ****-all else, nor is it supposed to.
Well then we have nothing to worry about. Who in their right mind would vote against it. apart from both of them!
We really need this WTO report to be released as I’m still convinced that’s the breaking point of all this.
“If you’re asking me which way the vote will go with the the owners and directors of the Premier League it’s a flip of a coin,” according to an executive at a top Premier League team I discussed the deal with this morning.” No toss of the coin involved. The legal team should indicate whether or not the test has been passed. If it has we are #canning and if it hasn’t we will have one heck of a court case where the PL will be dragged across the coals having their backsides handed to them. There shouldn’t be any vote involved. The Board of the PL should simply follow whatever recommendation the lawyers make. If they don’t they won’t have a legal leg to stand on. If refused the reasons will have to be water tight as the Saudi’s won’t just give up face or £17M without a fight probably legal and political.
This. If the PL fail this they will be sued for so much money they will be begging for Saudi investment. The PL will of course know this.
Has anyone read the owners and directors test? It's section F. https://resources.premierleague.com...c-75ec9ddf7f73/2019-20-PL-Handbook-170420.pdf
