I think there’s an argument that it’s not in the public interest to announce something like this unless there’s a guilty verdict on charges such as this where the defendant could be at risk to a ‘revenge’ attack. Mud sticks init.
Very well reported too. They didn't go back over the allegation. They shouldn't be announcing anyone's name for rape allegations before a guilty verdict. I think HO will be ok, but plenty of others have their lives ruined by it.
