It’s not slating. It’s constructive criticism of how we play, mistakes we continually make, regardless of who is in the starting 11.
If we lose on Saturday we're definitely in a dogfight. I've seen little over the past few seasons that says we've got the bottle to win one of those so we'll be putting our fate in other team's hands.
I fear you are right, the first goal will be crucial, if we score it we have a chance of getting a result if they score it likely they will go on to win.
He hasn't returned to training and still has no intention of doing so, so at least he's one we don't have to worry about.
Terry has had plenty of time to think about his best team and how to set it up. All the players are fit to play and we are not in the same situation we were with injuries. If the season had gone on as normal I think we would have been down. As it is we have a good chance to salvage something from this year. More reasons to be cheerful than a couple of months ago.
I fear there will be no changes in formation or approach which will make us very easy to play against. I hope I am wrong but I think McCann is too naive.
More time to stew his onions, more options to pick from. So confusing, best just go with last time out starting lineup.
During these friendlies I think if I was McCann, I'd have tested a 3-4-3 formation - as Lichaj hasn't currently signed a new short-term deal and we have an abundance of centre-backs. Elder is good at crossing, so it could enhance his ability to get more balls into the box and it also means if McKenzie plays on the right, there is always someone there to cover him. Essentially a 5-4-1 when defending and a 3-4-3 on the attack/in possession.
It's not slating it's reality . I hate saying it but the period of matches up to the suspension of the League my team were a shambles . We need a team that are stubborn and can grind out a result , unfortunately where City are concerned that's only in my dreams at the minute. Come on City turn my dreams into reality.
So, have we all done our mugshots for the cardboard cutouts at the game? https://hullcity.fansatthegame.co.uk/
Chas , get a life . I am not having a go at individual players , but the fact is when the league was suspended City were not a team anymore. Hopefully a combination of rest , players back from injury and the management coaching the boys into a confident and able side we have a team capable of winning at Championship level. I do try to be positive and I always want City to win .
I’d stick Magennis and Eaves up front for this match and just bombard them with crosses and try and get the ball to stick in the final third. One up front has been a sack of **** and totally ineffective.
Do you have any badges that qualify you to say that? Just thought I would get it in before anyone else does.
Gets my vote - we have to just go for it. No point setting up for a draw & grab a lucky goal on the break. Time to attack
