I didn't mean to make a case against you particularly but I think his view that he doesn't want to be associated with the Alli part of his name should be respected. I should have asked the question of other posters too.
Surely Juve can’t afford to be sending a player on loan and still be paying him £300,000 a week Tbh just for the fact it would wind up Arsenal fans, I’d take him
Depends if they're able to jettison Rabiot or not, really If they do, they can certainly eat paying a chunk of Ramsey's wages when he's on loan elsewhere
Suppose it was inevitable but The Sun are claiming Jose wants Thiago Silva. Seen Arsenal and Everton linked too. IF he were to join, Spurs better make sure AJ Tracey is involved in any announcement video otherwise they’re missing a trick.
We can just pick up half the PSG team for nothing and save on all of those pesky transfer fees. Silva, Meunier, Cavani, Kurzawa, Chuopo-Moting, Kouassi... add a few more and we'd have a free team. Levy'd. We've been linked with Willian and Fraser already, so I'm not entirely convinced that this isn't actually the plan. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/statistik/endendevertraege
Fraser, Meunier, Kurzawa and Kouassi all sound like how to be a scumlord on Football Manager: pick them up for £0.00, one or two might become valuable members of the team while others can be moved on for pure profit a year or two down the line
The only thing that makes it fairly impractical in reality is that they'll expect wages that reflect the lack of a fee.
Looking at their wages, they could certainly fit in Kouassi - peanuts Fraser - £32k p/w Meunier - £52k p/w Kurzawa - £99k p/w Kurzawa is the only obvious potential issue (unless Kouassi has Rabiot-like wage demands right out of the gate, obviously...) but surely he has to accept that with his injury issues over the years he'll be ticking down to the £75-80k range
Arsenal are supposedly looking at him though and they pay outrageous wages for no apparent reason. Kolasinac is on £100k pw and Luiz gets an extra £25k on top of that!
...sorry, for a moment I thought you were talking about West Scam, given their love of chucking around wages that make no logical sense
I’d 100% take Silva, Meunier and Cavani if they fancied a trip across the channel like Aurier and Lucas did. Not too sure on Kurzawa. Choupo-Moting no thanks. Despite having a good few young CBs already in Tanganga, Foyth, ***an-Walcott plus Dave Sanchez if we still count him, I’d still take Kouassi, sounds a real prodigy. Plus we can double up on Tanguy’s just like we did with Moussa’s. I’d take one of Willian or Fraser. Willian’s the better player but Fraser has more in the tank plus resale value, sucks he don’t count as HG though as he’d be a lot more appealing. There’s some great value in the free market this summer, it’s just a shame that due to corona there’s likely going to be a load of competition for these players too. Hopefully if we do want any of these Levy will get in talks immediately and Jose can use his pull in the game to sway them in our direction.
The one scenario where Kurzawa looks like a good quick and dirty signing is if we sign him so we have a dedicated attacking LB while we try and remold Sessegnon into that role, which appears to be what we're aiming to do judging by last week's inter-squad friendly - which basically makes him a Stambouli signing, albeit one where we can shrug and move him on for £15m a year or so down the line without needing to quibble about the price
Kurzawa linked with a lot of clubs, he will be able to demand a big wage probably. More likely to end up at Chelsea or Atletico than Spurs or Arsenal as they can probably offer CL next season
He looks a perfect bit of business for Leicester - sell Chilwell for £70m plus and bring his replacement in for free (well as 'free' as free is) and they may well have CL on offer to him as well.
They probably need two left-backs next season if Chilwell leaves, as Fuchs is 34 and his contract is up. Picking up someone like Kurzawa, Tagliafico from Ajax, Telles or Grimaldo from Portugal and some young prospect is probably the way to go. They can't afford the hit that their league form took last time that they were in the Champions League. I expect that they've learned from that experience.
Conflicting rumours about Meunier floating about. Some saying he's set to join Dortmund, others saying Spurs/ Jose in talks to try and get him here. I also saw a story of us being interested in Pau Lopez, the keeper who spent a year on loan here under Poch a few seasons back but never played a game. He's done pretty well since. When he returned to Espanyol he became number one, then joined Betis on a free and was number one there for a season before Roma bought him this season for around £21m and he's been first choice, also played twice for Spain and is the country's third choice keeper after de Gea and Kepa. Won't come cheap seeing as he signed a 5 year deal with them upon joining but may be one to watch as I do think the club needs a new keeper albeit it's not the highest of priorities just right now.
Fraser has rejected to extend his Bournemouth contract til the end of the season. I get he probably wants to ensure he doesn’t scupper a potential move (to us or elsewhere - I’d like him if we can shift someone like Lamela) but feels a little disrespectful to the club that brought him to England and gave him the platform to prove himself. He’s a key player for them and they’re not in the best of positions in the league. Their fans are a bit peeved with him to say the least and understandably so.
