I have a powerful urge to go somewhere, anywhere, that I haven’t been before. Maybe Sweden, have they stopped dying there yet?
Sweden is about the last place I’d be going tbh. Wherever you head you’ll end having to self isolate for 2 weeks on your return, as it stands.
Well I’ve had 2 holidays cancelled up to now I think I will wait and see how it pans out over the next few months However if I don’t get anywhere in the summer months I may just have a week In tenerefe in November That’s if it is safe by then
Netflights taking the piss, doing their best to hide from customers. Have 4 tickets booked from January which were due to happen in a couple of weeks but waiting to see if airline cancelled to get the refund. Can't get a hold of them, so in the end contacted the airline who confirmed flights are cancelled, but they can't deal with it so have to go back to tour operator. No response to previous emails in a month, hanging on the phone for an hour. Their website basically says, 'leave us alone'. Filled in their online refund form. I'll get the refund I'm sure but looking at their site it could take months. Etihad on the other hand are saying they're paying out immediately to customers from U.S. and U.K so let's see. Gutted for the holiday, but glad the flight got cancelled. Will be thinking of somewhere else now, a bit safer but somewhere to chill and enjoy the surroundings. Quarantines abroad might limit where though.
If you paid via credit card I’d go to them and get the transaction reversed mate. As there’s no reason why you’re not due a credit and you may wait months or even never see one from Netflights.
Paid by debit card. Fck knows what I was thinking. Mistake 101 I thought with the Covid 19 there'll be no problem getting the money back? Worst case scenario surely it's covered by ATOL.
I’d go to your bank anyway mate they might offer a chargeback given you’ve not had what you’ve paid for. You should be covered by ATOL, but you’ll need the certificate I think.
They’re not legally obliged to, as debit card payments fall outside the consumer credit act, but as you say, most will try and oblige in clear cut cases these days it seems.
Never heard of chargeback but will give it a go. I'd imagine there's a fair few doing this though so either the banks are obliging or they'll be steering well clear. Still can't believe I didn't use a c/card. I've always done that normally and for the life of me can't think why I didn't do it this time.
I did a direct debits with tui and there have changed my cruise Infact upgraded However my holiday with travelrepublik has been cancelled and I’m waiting for re Book information there is no way I can contact them by phone or email I will just have to wait until they contact me but if I hear nowt in a month or so I will have to write to them at this stage I cool I will wait My other cancellation with easy jet was changed also with a free upgrade No bother
I think those who booked direct with airlines got dealt with straight away. The high street tour operators like Tui perhaps also. The online ones all seem to be saying "leave us alone" no emails, calls etc. I'm waiting like you are with travelrepublik. I can wait as long as they deal with it tbh. But if they start fcking around then I'll start escalating it.
Yeah me too with travelrepublik I want to book same place for next year and same digs there are our friends and we have a little cash with them Im a little worried cause the price is fantastic at the moment but it could rise If I get my refund soon I will just rebook I want them to send me the link now
I was booked with TUI for a holiday at the beginning of May. They phoned and offered alternatives, which didn’t work for me, so I requested a refund. Said refund was back on my card within 24hrs?
Those two things never happened with Netflights and I doubt it ever will. That's why I ended up just going for a refund. I would probably get my flight money back quicker off Netflix.
