Just read the last few pages. Horrid video. No way I'd want to be associated with a group of thugs who use what is happening as an excuse to terrorize people having a picnic in the park, so I'd certainly associate more with the BLM marches. From what I have seen, the trouble has only been caused by those wanting to protest against BLM marches, or when BLM protests have been met with opposition.

How proud some of these boys mothers must be....can't even spell the name of the country they seem to love so much....
Bob - in answer to your question BLM. However I disagree with the vandalism of the statues, and looting of various shops in the USA. Whilst I have visited Bristol 3 maybe 4 times, I was unaware of the history and links to the slave trade. I was also unaware of the continual discussions to get in removed, and buildings renamed. There needs to be a place for this to be kept, along with the historical information leading up to how we are today and document how things have changed. If things are destroyed, the history would be lost and there is a possibility that humans will make the same mistakes. Also, the vandalism of Churchill's statue is unbelievable as he was the leader that led the country through it's darkest hour and allowed us to have the freedoms we all enjoy today. This comment isn't meant to sound a flit as it does, but do all the protesters really know the history of what they are vandalising? George Floyd - this is my opinion - he did not deserve to die the way he did, however he wasn't exactly an angel - jailed 4 times. I think that when the case does go to court there will be some things mentioned regarding the two people's dislike for each other. Trump could have potentially reduced the risk of the violence in the USA by simply ordering the immediate suspension of the 4 police officers whilst the whole incident was investigated. The incident in Atlanta last night where a black man was killed by the police. From what I have seen in the news, the officer has been sacked. The man killed was stopped from drink driving, assaulted a police officer, grabbed and used his taser on him. If you are going to shoot, shouldn't you shoot to injure? Or call for back up? Or (and I do not know what the USA is like) use CCTV which we have everywhere in the UK? And why burn the fast food restaurant down? additionally to the BLM - there is still slavery continuing in countries in Africa. We had Mugabe living off the benefits of western money whilst his own people starved. In Asia, in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh there is child slavery. Steels - in answer to the above, there has to be some kind of border control as there is in other countries. If I was to emigrate to somewhere different there are all sort of hoops to jump through, and I do have family that have emigrated to Perth. He has a trade behind him which made life easier however the whole process took almost a year or just over. We have people coming from France in the back of lorries which is wrong - the lorry driver is then the one penalised for not seeing who is climbing on their moving vehicle. The French should have border control so this is something that they should be managing more effectively. If anyone decides they want to go to try to sneak into Australia illegally they are put into detention centres off the main country and usually returned to where they came from. The Vietnamese that were found in the back of a lorry dead a few months ago, brought over by people smugglers - will the families ever receive justice or will they have to continue paying the smugglers? As I said there has to be border control, even more important now there is a virus which doesn't appear to be "disappearing" soon. How can you tell whether on person smuggled in had a dose of this, has then spread it to others who then pass this on? Finally, Stephen Lawrence -a young black man killed by 5 racist thugs. There were peaceful protests which eventually resulted in the scum going prison. PC Keith Blacklock - nobody yet found guilty of his murder on Broadwater Farm riots back in 1985. Also, the irony of me using Australia and the USA is not lost as the Aboriganes are the various Indigenous peoples of the Australia, and Native Americans, are also the indigenous Americans...
Each country has them, they are Johnson, Trump, supporters to a man, if not someone further to the right.
If you’re OB who’s had bricks thrown at your head there probably is. Saying that I think I might of misread Daves original post. I assumed he was talking about the protests as a whole (including last weeks)
It's a no brainer. BLM clearly and the one encouraging sign from all this chaos is to see the numbers of white folk peacefully protesting side by side with peaceful black protesters in America.
Well that's alright then. She missed the opportunity to tell us all how it was the fault of the state that there are no public loos open or to explain why given his heroic civic cause to protect statues, he managed to get so pissed with no pubs open that he was unable to heed the cries of his fellow patriots who were telling him "No. Not there." I wonder if we had a variant of an 'eye for an eye' which would meet with general approval. 'Piss near a monument for a hero and you lose your willy.'
