Just to keep you all in the loop, copy of email recieved by a very angry Mick from service provider.

-------------------------------------------------------
Dear Michael,

Thank you for contacting us.

A software error occurred yesterday between 9am EST and 11:30am EST, then again from 2pm EST to 5pm EST due to an incorrect network configuration for the Dedicated, Virtual and Dynamic Cloud Servers. As a result, these servers were temporarily not accessible on the Internet. If your server is still not responding your network may need to be restarted to query our DHCP server, you can restart it manually or restart the entire server. If it still remains down after that please reply to this email. More information will be sent out soon regarding the specifics to the incident that happened. We do apologize for the inconvenience of this issue and are taking steps to ensure that such a major failure like this does not happen again.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Chad Hodgdon

Nice try Syd. <ok>

We know you actually phoned Mick and told him to shut the site down after the final whistle at Norwich!
Otherwise the Sunderland board would have gone into meltdown. :p

Good heavens, thank goodness someone’s seen the light. What a shame it’s not Christmas yet as I’d be able to take my summer holidays to get away from all the doom & gloom merchants.
