History doesn’t mean we have to glorify its villains or display offensive items like statues and flags that are symbols of oppression and murder to segments of the population. Put them in museums and places of learning so we can learn about the evils of history and lessen the numbers of those who would do the same again.

One people's hero's can be another people's villains, who decides ? Mosques, are they a symbol of the great Muslim prophet or a reminder of a ****file who took a Nine year old wife, probably against her will ?

Maybe he should become a Muslim, wouldn't be a problem then, apart from her maybe being too old.

Protest in the land of Oz have been slammed by their PM. Be interesting to see if the virus flares up in this perfect country. I mean according to turdy it was all under control and people were adhering to the rules. Seems Australia is not so perfect after all.

One 30 year old who attend the Melbourne protest has tested positive and so we will see if there are others. The reason for the protest was valid but the timing wasn't great. It will provide a test, unfortunately, of how much community transmission there is. There were going to be more relaxation of lock-down regulations but the authorities are now waiting for a couple of weeks to see if "the virus flares up". Nobody has died from Covid 19 here since 23rd May and so it's easy to lose focus and forget that there are still 422 people in the country who are know to have it. How is the UK going?

So, there has been a new outbreak of COVID19 in China. Doesn't really come as any surprise does it? I'm waiting for it to happen here. Australia has relaxed it's lock down rules and people are gathering in crowds at every opportunity. Same thing is going to happen in the UK. It ain't over 'till it's over.

Without a vaccine, it's the new way of life, of course we will have heard immunity in 2 years. Going to be a lot of Black lives Matter dieing soon by the look of things.

Heard one of there community asking on the daily corona breifing what the govt are going to do about them being less immune. The bame community are more likely to get a serious infection apparently. That im afraid is nature and the white population gaining over many years a better immune system able to fight off a virus. I may have over simplified things but i get the basic reason.
But as usual they will try and blame anyone for a simple medical fact. Pakistani people are a high risk too but they dont bleat about it like some.

Think there’s a bunch of reasons wakey. There certainly seems to be an immune system based one - or at least an inherited genetic one/generations of malnutrition. There is likely a fat distribution one too. Corona has hit those carrying a bit of timber hard but certain ethnicities, Asians especially, have typically higher levels of visceral fat.

Nothing anyone can do about that.

They are also more likely to be in lower socio-economic groups. Live in larger numbers in smaller properties. Work in jobs that are higher risk of exposure to the virus and to higher viral load - disproportionately employed in the nhs and care etc.

The reasons behind that are not easy to change overnight but you could argue that long term government policy should be trying to address white Privilege.

So short term, nothing except education/risk awareness and offer support financially if they need to isolate at risk groups - long term look to address inequalities in society.

I don’t expect many on here to agree with the solutions, I’m merely pointing out what COULD be done.

Tut. Tut. You're not allowed to ask for a proper explanation. You just need to accept that all the problems encountered by non-whites are caused by whites.

It's stuff like not having to worry that your name sounds a bit too "ethnic" on a job application. Not having to worry too much when you get pulled over by the police. Not having to second guess whether the neighbours might be hostile when you move to a "nice" area. Not having teachers who expect you to fail, or who categorise every daft mistake you make as a fundamental part of your character just because of the colour of your skin. Not having people look at you sideways in crowded streets in case you're up to no good. All the time. Because pigment. Not having to grow up in an area which is considered a ghetto because that's where your grandparents could afford to live in the 1950s. Not having to deal with shock from everyone you encounter if you manage to overcome the fairly heavily stacked odds to make a success of your life. Or if it's not shock, the assumption that you must either be a rapper, a drug dealer or a footballer, because what else can black people do, right? (I nicked the last one off Marcus Rashford- don't shoot me).

And most of all, the privilege of not even having to be aware that this is what our country looks like to about 13% of the people who live here.

I'm very white by the way, but live in quite a mixed area. Which I love.
