https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53036186 NFA on Hudson Odoi arrest for rape. Backs up my point that these things really shouldn't be reported pre charge.
Anyone miss the Charity Shield this weekend? The Saudis are about to buy Wembley so that Newcastle get a chance to play there. Hojbjerg is joining a top 6 club, he's a Dane, but not a Great Dane. And now it's raining where is the bloody cricket?
Watching the euro 2004 game, Croatia v England. Watching the likes of Rooney, Gerrard, Scholes and Cole all hitting the turf with little or no contact, is so embarrassing. All four had tried to con the ref before the 13th minute was up.
What would have been bad about losing to Greece in the final? It would have been great to have reached a final in the first place.
Saints going out to Sunderland in the 3rd round of the league cup in 16/17 would have hurt less than the late Zlatan header but I wouldn't have preferred that. Honestly reckon we'd have won that tournament anyway had we beaten Portugal, or if Rooney hadn't got injured. Same thing essentially.
Seem to recall Beckham breaking his at some point in a build up to a tournament as well. England's cursed bone.
Agreed but I think an unfair compairson A fairer comparison would be if we lost the final to e.g. Ipswich Town. The Cup Final for Saints was a great day because we absolutely held our own in a game everyone expected us to lose. My point was it would have hurt way more if England had made the final only to lose to a team everyone would have perceived as a game we should win. But given it's all hypothetical, it's a fairly moot point either way
Yeah fair point actually. I remember back in '03 hoping that Arsenal would win their semi as I couldn't bear the thought of losing the final to Sheffield United. I was fully expecting us to win 3 years ago mind, until Romeu hit the post at least
I actually had a bet that day on Gabbi to score 2 or more and Zlatan to score 2 or more. Singles mind, wish I'd double'd it up (don't think you can)
