Then there is no need for you to comment on this thread then as there is nothing to discuss in your opinion?
If you think it is off then you think that - no need to comment any further on it. Fortunately for myself and most others it is still on (it may well indeed fail) but we then have things to discuss.
so are you saying only people that think it's still not a problem can comment, but not me ? seems a bit unfair mate I agree on the part in brackets though
But if there is no takeover there is no need to discuss anything about a takeover as there isn't one.
why ? it's certainly related to the thread topic? it's all open to debate you're entitled to your opinion mate.. everyone is welcome to state their case
Personally think the PL should do something about the Watford owner if Matty ends up there via Udinese
I am reserving judgement until this report is published. I believe the two are intrinsically linked with the Report and contents having a major impact on what happens. I also don't think its as cut and dry as it may appear. The WTO has already said they have ruled on the Saudi government. So until we see what they have ruled we can't know if the takeover is on or off. It is the punishment, if any, which will indicate whether the takeover can go ahead. For example, let's say TWO rule that Saudi Government have indeed breached Piracy laws..... Well ok, what then. Slap on the wrist, big fine, lift your restrictions on Qatar and broadcasting in KSA and oh provided you do this your in the clear. Premier League then accept the punishment given. Allow the takeover as the piracy is resolved oh and in 2 years time your TV company is more than welcome to compete against BEIN for the next tranche of rights. Which OFC would go in favour of KSA and BEIN loses out long term anyways. Short term pain for long term gain!
On a side note, what was it that was picked up in the court yesterday about Mandy? Some derogatory comment or something?
If the saudis have a football club in the premier league and rights are given to a saudi based tv company that is a very lucrative market. The premier league wont turn there back on a fund worth 260b. Maybe PIF should buy BEIN.
No honestly I am just playing devils advocate here. I still don't believe it will go through but I am not in the "its over camp yet". I have said from day one that if there's no news then its not over but highly unlikely the longer it drags on. Its been in the pipeline for 3 months that we are aware of but honestly this could have been started months and months prior to that even. Have to say though, I don't think there will ever be a takeover as drawn out as this again. I am very surprised PIF and MA have kept there cool for this long!
