Good Morning. It's Thursday 11th June, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

    Season over for big Kev?

The season could be over for Jean Kevin Augustin. The 22yo French International suffered a recurrence of his hamstring injury whilst playing murderball with his team mates on Tuesday afternoon.

The extent of his injury was assessed by Rob Price and his team, and although not officially confirmed yet, it looks likely that Kevin's tenure at Elland Road has come to an end.

It's a bitter pill to swallow for the loanee, who has fought hard to regain his fitness following his injury in February.

Augustin will return to France for treatment if the injury is thought to take more than a month to recover from.

Fortunately for Leeds, Tyler Roberts has been in fine form in training, and has caught the eye of Adam Forshaw.

“Tyler Roberts looks in great shape.

“I spoke to Stu Dallas and I’d seen Tyler getting into his car and he looked lean and well. Stu said Tyler has been so sharp in training.

“He’s got some ability Tyler. He’s been unfortunate with injuries but he could play a key part couldn’t he in the last nine games.

“He’s a nice footballer. I think now he’s getting fully accustomed to the regime, the demands of the sessions and the manager wants you to play.

Six new Corona cases a week before season resumes

A week before the Championship season is set to restart, the EFL have revealed that six new coronavirus cases, across four Championship clubs have been confirmed.

Players and staff at clubs received their results on Wednesday after tests were carried out at training grounds up and down the country between 7th - 9th June.

Those who have tested positive are currently self-isolating for seven days and cannot attend their club’s training ground as a result.

One of the positive cases has been confirmed as Stoke Manager Michael O'Neill.

    Bamford spat with fan

Patrick Bamford has publicly ripped a fan to shreds for criticising footballers for getting involved with politics.

Leeds fan Joshua Benford sent a message on social media site Twitter, blasting footballers for getting involved in the 'Black Lives Matter' movement when they should be concentrating on football.

Leeds No 9 hit back saying “Mindless idiots like this are the people who need educating the most. Happy to ignore it as long as it doesn’t affect him. I wonder how he would act if the shoe were on the other foot.”

Is it right that professional sports personalities get involved with topics which are obviously hotly contended at the moment?

Should Bamford be talking to a fan like like who probably pays some of his wages?

    Good morning,

Do you think Big Kev would be a contender for a starting place in the Leeds disappointing loans XI?

I don't have a problem with people using their personal twitter accounts to say whatever they want but if it were me I probably wouldn't get too involved. Public opinion changes so fast these days and anything you write now can and will be used against you in years to come.

Lewis Hamilton has been calling for the removal of all racist symbols. That's fair enough, but drives for a team with close links to the Nazi's, advertises a company (Hugo Boss) that supported the Nazi's and he has links to many companies that use cheap child labour. I wonder if he realises that in a few years the same protestors might well be coming to remove him from the history books.

    Morning WCD.

Only thing I would say is its very difficult for the Leeds fan to defend himself when Bamford was insinuating the fan was racist. Wasn't really a fair trade of words

I suspect you had to see the whole exchange, in the extract there isn't enough to understand what Bamford was responding to. It's a difficult position for a "celebrity" A middle of the road view is not going to raise a concern but if they have a view, right or left, I personally wouldn't have an issue but I think some would and then as a member of a team you have to consider how teammates would react to your opinions.

Morning pal. But if you gave your opinion to a footballer who you help pay his wages and he insinuates you're racist just because u state you dont think footballers should not get involved in politics, I wouldn't be happy.

If my boss, wage payer, senior shareholder etc spouted things that I consider inappropriate I would tell them. Silence isn't golden in this case I understand your point but a man without principles is not a man.

Majorly disappointed if the big kev saga ends without him contributing anything after all this time.

In terms of the twitter row it is difficult to comment without the full facts but if somebody has passed views onto Barndoor on his personal account then he has the right to reply.

Personally I think anybody famous is taking a risk by being on twitter but it's their choice.

Tottenham have agreed to loan Leeds Juan Foyth on a season long loan.

The 22yo central defender joined Spurs two seasons ago for 8m.

Foyth has 10 senior caps for Argentina

30 positive tests so far in the Championship.

Does anyone have any idea how many of those have now tested negative and have returned to training/work ?

Soon it won't be a free society WC, for whites. It seems History good or bad is being removed or rewritten. I mean Gone with the Wind has been stopped showing at a College in America.

No once you use the R card then game over. It's the Black Panther, Black power salute or whatever they call it now that winds me up. It's a political symbol, pro black anti white used by a terrorist movement. Just as bad as the KKK or nazi salute, but the lefties are never pulled up about it. Personally I'd like the politics to left outside the stadium. Joshua another sportsman spouting racist rhetoric. It's getting out of hand and I certainly don't think the rights of blacks in England can compare with the ones in America. Rant over. <grr>

Do you think the white loss of freedom will be as long as the 400 years endured by American blacks?

Did you know that the woman who played the maid was prevented from attending the Oscars ceremony when she won the award?

I was at the home game and we were walking past the south stand towards the shop when the buses arrived. A load of lads shouted lets get em from near the peacock. The drivers side windows were bricked so the wallies put the nearside ones through. They pelted us with pound coins but i only got a couple of quid. We ended up outside the shop watching with amusement as a few got slapped about by the police. We were in east lower two rows from the wedge. Balti pies were being thrown at them again we thought it was funny. I remember the Prutton goal quite clearly. The two shaved head leeds guys who were telling the stewards to get off had come all the way along the stand. They got in to the corner of the south stand straight past the stewards. Tried several times to get at the wallies and then got ejected. One wall fan /thug was being ejected and turned with arms raised to his mates. He stuck a step back and promptly fell down the steps. You can imagine the laughter at his demise. I do not remember the scenes on Elland rd afterwards think we might have just got away in time. I make no apologies for enjoying the whole experience it was a good win all round.

Yes I did Jonny. Different era, not right but that's no reason to ban Historical films. 400 years, try 800 years in Irish History.

So they had slaves for 400 years then?. Black people in America are more likely to kill one another. This is about lawlessness and the excuse to loot and destroy peoples livings. All they are doing is making people turn against them. Its counter productive and will just lead to civil unrest and put white against black.
