Point 2 is interesting. It may be that the big 6 don't want the Saudi's but the other 13 do as it will mean say £3m more a year to them if a Saudi PLrights deal get's done... that's a half decent player's wages per year. I's hope in this case that the majority will get their way.

We all know the Euro league is only probs 5 years away so the PL need to think longer term.

KSA could replace Qatar as ME rights holders or work alongside them to share the spoils.
The sensible approach would therefore to put a new deal in place for 2022 onwards to split it... gain the PL a lot more revenue.... clubs more money... attracting better players etc.....

Qatar could then say they've saved lots of money and 'won'..... KSA have NUFC and can say they've 'won the rights'.... PL say they they've won the fight against piracy and and the same time increased the revenue for the league members (their ultimate job) and also brought a significant investor into the PL as a new owner.

The PL also need to consider the implications of them blocking the deal... i.e. court action and the Saudi's taking their football money to enrich another league and also the political ramifications of deals being pulled away from the UK in a post brexit/corona landscape.

I really don't see a middle ground here... it's either everyone wins big.... (PL/Clubs/Qatar/KSA) or Qatar and the top 6 win big and the other clubs and probs the PL and KSA lose big.

That leaves us with Dubs, Darlow and I presume Woodman won't be allowed out on loan next season?

The words new ambitious project seem to point firmly at nufc.

if this story is true then it's probably to best indication for months that it's going through.

It won't be in the PL, and certainly won't be Newcastle, so I wouldn't worry.
