Let's not forget they decided to start a few wars to make sure they could profit from heroin too

Mr Churchill turned down fervent pleas to export food to India citing a shortage of ships - this when shiploads of Australian wheat, for example, would pass by India to be stored for future consumption in Europe. As imports dropped, prices shot up and hoarders made a killing.

According to Churchill, it was the Indians fault for 'breeding like rabbits'

err that article says 3m dead (most estimates put it between 2-3 m) but that isn't 4m you stated nor does anything you have presented suggest that the famine was caused by the policies of either the Indian Govt or the UK Coalition Govt . The article you quoted says the if the policy of exporting rice 400000 people could have been saved so basically you over egged it and if you had said the policy of our Govt , led by Churchill , exacerbated the results of the famine you would have been right .

Oh so only 3m dead then <laugh>

and 400,000 dead because of Churchill's policies of diverting food away from starving people.

But hey, they deserved it for 'breeding like rabbits'

    Semantics eh ?

Not semantics i just pointed out you were ovef reaching in your criticism of Churchill since there is a 10 fold difference between 4m and 400k and to be blunt in times of war dreadful decisions are often taken .

fair enough on the numbers, although the decision wasn't based on any wartime 'need', the food that was diverted away from starving Bengalis went to well fed and supplied British soldiers and to top up European stockpiles. The fact that Churchill then blamed them for starving to death for breeding like rabbits, doesn't exactly highlight his humanitarian qualities either.

My main point though, was that Comm was moaning about 'denying history' and yet history is littered with these types of incidents that have been airbrushed out because they don't suit the narrative of the 'Great British Empire'

I'm not sure i've ever heard of Churchill being lauded for his humanitarian nature <laugh>
Churchill was first & foremost an "imperialist" and would always put the "mother country" before an imperial colony plus his total focus was the war though it probably didn't help that the founder ,Subbas Chandra Bose, of the Indian National Army which was fighting on the side of the Japanese was from Bengal .
History is written by the winners and we're no longer that <laugh>

we did not start the "war" in Afghanistan it was a UN agreed "mission" in which we participated and i'm fairly certain there are easier ways of making a profit from the poppy than invading a country which has been a disaster for almost everyone who has ever invaded it including us in our imperial days .

we started wars on countries that border Iran for a reason that had nothing to do with heroin.
